Lombardia Trophy
The Lombardia Trophy is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by the Italian Ice Sports Federation (). The competition debuted in 2013 in Sesto San Giovanni, and when the ISU launched the ISU Challenger Series in 2014, the Lombardia Trophy was one of the inaugural competitions. The Lombardia Trophy has been a Challenger Series event nine times during its history as of 2024. Medals are awarded in Single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance; and when the event is part of the Challenger Series, skaters earn ISU World Standings and Season's World Ranking, ISU World Standing points based on their results. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 figure skating season, 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four (Single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. Alexander Majorov
Alexander Alexandrovich Majorov (, born 19 July 1991) is a Swedish retired figure skater. He is the 2017 Winter Universiade bronze medalist, the 2011 World Junior bronze medalist, a five-time Nordic champion (2011–14 and 2016), and a four-time Swedish national champion (2012–14, 2017). His best finish at the European Championships is 6th (2013). He was 14th at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Personal life Majorov was born on 19 July 1991 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. When he was an infant, his family began spending half a year in Sweden and half in Russia, settling in Luleå when he was six years old. Christopher Caluza
Christopher Caluza (born July 3, 1990) is a retired Filipino-American figure skater. He is the 2013 Lombardia Trophy silver medalist, 2012 Bavarian Open bronze medalist, and the three-time Philippines national champion. Career Caluza, who began skating on roller blades at age six, took up figure skating when he was seven following the roller rink's closure. Caluza won the bronze medal at the 2012 Bavarian Open and at the same time earned the minimum score necessary to compete in an ISU Championships. He went on to place 12th at the 2012 Four Continents Championships and 21st at the 2012 World Championships. Marco Fabbri (born 2 February 1988) is an Italian ice dancer. With his skating partner, Charlène Guignard, he is a two-time World medalist, a two-time European champion (2023–24), a two-time European bronze medalist (2019, 2022), a three-time Grand Prix Final medalist, a ten-time Grand Prix medalist, and seven-time Italian national champion (2019–25). Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). 2020–21 ISU Challenger Series
The 2020–21 ISU Challenger Series was scheduled to be held from September 9 to December 5, 2020.
