Loknath Mishra
Lokanath Misra (22 November 1921 – 27 May 2009) was an Indian politician. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha. He was the Governor of Assam from 1991 to 1997 and held additional charge as Governor of Nagaland from 1992 to 1993. He died on 27 May 2009 at Bhubaneswar. He was the elder son of poet and notable socialist Godabarish Mishra. His younger brother, Ranganath Misra was the former Chief Justice of India while his son, Pinaki Misra is a member of the 11th, 15th and 16th Lok Sabha Members of the 16th Lok Sabha were elected during the 2014 Indian general election. Banapur
Banapur is a town and a Notified Area Council in Khordha district in the state of Odisha, India. The town is named after the King Banasura of Lord Shri Krishna era (as the epic tells). Banasura, a demon-king who is said to have ruled over this place. Major point of attraction here is the temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagabati (odisha Hindu goddess), the presiding deity of Banapur. It is one of the famous Shaktipithas of Odisha. The place was under the control of a line of feudal lords, the ancestors of the Rajas (Kings) of Parikud, till 18th century. Godabarish Mishra
Pandit Godabarish Mishra (26 October 1886 – 26 July 1956) was a poet and notable socialist from Odisha, India. He is known for his contribution to Odia literature. Early life Godabarish Mishra was born to Lingaraj Mishra and Apsara Devi in a Brahmin family in Srinibaspur Sasan, near Banapur, Khordha district. His primary education was from the village school and then received his higher education from the Puri District School in 1906 and enrolled in Ravenshaw College. He used to take tuition to cover the college fees. He received his B.A. in philosophy in 1910. He obtained his M.A. in economics from University of Calcutta in 1912. Work In teaching He was a teacher in the Satyabadi School from 1913 to 1919. Then, he became the headmaster of Chakradharpur High School in the Singhbhum district (Now in Jharkhand) from 1919 to 1921. Members of the 16th Lok Sabha were elected during the 2014 Indian general election. The elections were conducted in 9 phases from 7 April 2014 to 12 May 2014 by the Election Commission of India. The results of the election were declared on 16 May 2014.
