The TV Week Logie Awards (known colloquially as The Logies) is an annual ceremony celebrating and honouring the best shows and stars in Television in Australia, Australian television, sponsored and organised by the magazine ''TV Week''. The event is telecast live and billed as "television's night of nights". The first ceremony was hosted in 1959 as the TV Week Awards. The Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, Gold Logie is the most prestigious award and the industry's highest honour; it's awarded to the ''Most Popular Personality on Australian Television'' for the previous year. ''TV Week'' is a weekly Australian magazine that provides television program listings information and highlights, as well as television-related news. Content ranges from previews for upcoming storylines of popular television programs, particularly dramas, comedies, soap operas and reality shows airing in Australia, celebrity interviews, gossip and news reports about television, movies and music. A full weekly program guide with highlights is featured, as well listings for streaming services and crossword puzzles. It was first published as a Melbourne-only publication in December 1957 (as ''TV-Radio Week''), bearing a strong affiliation to television station Channel Nine, GTV9. Charlene Robinson (also Mitchell) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'' played by Kylie Minogue. Charlene was introduced to the show along with several new characters, as part of a revamp by Network Ten to increase ratings. Minogue auditioned for the role in 1985, shortly after finishing her high school exams. She attended the audition dressed as the character and casting director Jan Russ cast her in the role.
