Log Trigger
In relational databases, the log trigger or history trigger is a mechanism for automatic recording of information about changes inserting or/and updating or/and deleting rows in a database table. It is a particular technique for change data capturing, and in data warehousing for dealing with slowly changing dimensions. Definition Suppose there is a table which we want to audit. This table contains the following columns: Column1, Column2, ..., Columnn The column Column1 is assumed to be the primary key. Database Dump
A database dump contains a record of the table structure and/or the data from a database and is usually in the form of a list of SQL statements ("SQL dump"). A database dump is most often used for backing up a database so that its contents can be restored in the event of data loss. Corrupted databases can often be recovered by analysis of the dump. Database dumps are often published by free content projects, to facilitate reuse, forking, offline use, and long-term digital preservation.
