Darcy Loewen
Darcy Loewen (born February 26, 1969) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Loewen played 135 games in the National Hockey League with the Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators between 1989 and 1994. He played in minor leagues in the United States and Europe for the remainder of his career, retiring in 2001. He became a minor ice hockey coach and firefighter in his post-playing life. Adam Alexander Loewen (born April 9, 1984) is a Canadian former professional baseball pitcher and outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, and Arizona Diamondbacks. Loewen pitched in the major leagues for the Orioles from 2006 to 2008, before converting to a position player. He played with the Blue Jays as an outfielder in 2011. Raymond L. "Ray" Loewen (born June 27, 1940) is a Canadian businessman, best known as the former owner of Loewen Funeral Group. Loewen also had a brief political career, serving as an MLA in British Columbia in the late 1970s. Early life Loewen was born into a prominent Mennonite family in Steinbach, Manitoba in 1940. His uncle founded Loewen Windows, while his father, Abraham Loewen, founded the Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach in 1931, the first funeral home in southeastern Manitoba. Douglas Todd Loewen (born September 16, 1966) is a Canadian politician and the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Central Peace-Notley. Loewen was first elected in 2015 as a member of the Wildrose Party for the electoral district of Grande Prairie-Smoky.
