Saint George (;Geʽez: ጊዮርጊስ, , ka, გიორგი, , , died 23 April 303), also George of Lydda, was an early Christian martyr who is venerated as a saint in Christianity. Fonni () is a town and ''comune'' in Sardinia, in the province of Nuoro (Italy). It is the highest town in Sardinia, and situated among fine scenery with some chestnut woods. Gavoi is a ''comune'' in central Sardinia (Italy), part of the province of Nuoro, in the natural region of Barbagia. It overlooks Lake Gusana.
