Locks Heath Football Club is a association football, football club based in Fareham suburb of Locks Heath, Hampshire, England. The club is affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association. The club is an FA Charter Standard club. They won the Hampshire League title in 1991. They are currently members of the and play their home games at Locks Heath Recreation Ground, Warsash Road, Fareham. History Locks Heath was founded in 1894 but prior to that played as St Johns Chapel team against other local church and chapel teams. In the 1983–84 season they joined the Hampshire League, in Division three and within three seasons were in the top division, finishing as Runners up in 1986–87. The club went on to win the Hampshire league in the 1990–91 season. In the 2005–06 season, they won the Wessex League Second Division title and were promoted to Wessex League Division 1 for 2006–07, finishing in fourth place, before joining the Hampshire Premier League as founder members. Locks Heath
Locks Heath is a western residential suburb of Fareham, in the south of Hampshire, England. Locks Heath is immediately surrounded by a collection of villages including Sarisbury to the West, Swanwick, Park Gate and Whiteley to the North, Warsash to the South West and Titchfield to the South East. The population of the village itself in 2011 was 7,104 whilst the wider Locks Heath residential area (including surrounding villages) equaled 43,359 as of 2011. Hampshire League
The Hampshire League was a football league in Hampshire, England. During its heyday its constitution consisted of four divisions with over 60 clubs taking part - this included a vast number of semi-professional teams and Reserve/’A’ sides of the areas professional clubs with many famous players playing in its matches over the years, often in front of large crowds. The league ran for 108 years, from 1896 until 2004 - after which two competitions have since spawned from it; the Hampshire League 2004 (an unofficial continuation) and the Hampshire Premier Football League. Wessex League
The Wessex Football League is an English association football league formed in 1986, with its premier division currently at the fifth step of the National League System, or the ninth tier of the overall English football league system. The participating clubs are mainly based in Hampshire and Dorset but the league also encompasses clubs from adjoining counties such as Wiltshire, Berkshire, and the Isle of Wight. In 2004, it absorbed most of the clubs from its feeder league, the Hampshire League, which formed a new Division Two and Division Three. In 2006 the divisions were renamed as the Premier Division and Divisions One and Two. At the end of the 2006–07 season, Division Two was disbanded, and most of the clubs formed a new Hampshire Premier League. Colin Sullivan (footballer)
Colin Sullivan (born 24 June 1951) is an English former footballer who played at left back for most of his career. At the time of his debut he was the youngest to play for Plymouth Argyle. As of 2013 he runs a gardening business. He began his career at Plymouth Argyle, training with the amateur players on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and made his debut away to Rotherham United on 19 March 1968, three months before his seventeenth birthday. He remained with the club until June 1974 when he was transferred to Norwich City for £70,000, making his debut for the club on 17 August 1974 against Blackpool. He went on to appear in the 1975 Football League Cup Final for the club losing 1 – 0 to Aston Villa at Wembley. He moved in February to Cardiff City where he remained until 1981 and a brief spell at Hereford United. The Borough of Fareham is a local government district with borough status and unparished area in Hampshire, England. Its council is based in Fareham. Other places within the borough include Portchester, Hill Head, Stubbington, Titchfield, Warsash, Locks Heath, Sarisbury and half of Whiteley.
