Lock Up (1989 Film)
''Lock Up'' is a 1989 American prison action film directed by John Flynn, and starring Sylvester Stallone, Donald Sutherland, John Amos and Tom Sizemore. It was released in the United States on August 4, 1989. Stallone later said it was "Not a film that was produced and performed with enough maturity to really make a significant impact on the audience or my career. And that's the truth". Plot Frank Leone, a mechanic in Hoboken, New Jersey, is a model prisoner nearing the end of his sentence in Norwood, a low-security prison. He occasionally spends time outside prison on furlough fixing cars, playing American football and seeing his girlfriend Melissa. While sleeping in his cell, guards arrive and forcibly take Leone to the violent maximum-security Gateway Prison run by Warden Drumgoole. Reading & Leeds
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house. Headliners and most supporting acts typically play at both sites, with Reading's Friday line up becoming Leeds' Saturday line-up, Reading's Saturday line-up playing at Leeds on Sunday, and Leeds' Friday line-up attending Reading on Sunday. Campsites are available at both sites and weekend tickets include camping. Day tickets are also sold. L-Ron L-Ron is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by writers Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis, and first appeared in ''Justice League International'' #14 (June 1988). L-Ron is initially introduced as a servant of the intergalactic warlord Manga Khan. Later, he assists the Justice League in stopping Despero by building a new control collar, using his circuitry to do so as it is made of the only material that will work. However, the collar inadvertently causes L-Ron and Despero to switch bodies when used. Despero attacks the Justice League before being destroyed and becoming a disembodied spirit. In computing, a hang or freeze occurs when either a process or system ceases to respond to inputs. A typical example is when computer's graphical user interface (such as Microsoft Windows) no longer responds to the user typing on the keyboard or moving the mouse. The Lock-Up
The Lock-Up is a public art gallery in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. The gallery is located in a former police station and holding cells, which is listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register. History From 1861 until 1982, the building used for The Lock-Up operated as a police station and holding cells for short-term prisoners. After the police station closed, the site became the Hunter Heritage Centre in 1988, which included a museum and an art gallery. The space was re-launched as The Lock-Up in September 2014, as a dedicated multidisciplinary contemporary art gallery. The building is listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register. A village lock-up is a historic building once used for the temporary detention of people in England and Wales, mostly where official prisons or criminal courts were beyond easy walking distance. Lockups were often used for the confinement of drunks, who were usually released the next day, or to hold people being brought before the local magistrate. The archetypal form comprises a small room with a single door and a narrow slit window, grating or holes. Most lock-ups feature a tiled or stone-built dome or spire as a roof and are built from brick, stone and/or timber.
