Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano Flight 301 was a scheduled charter flight from El Alto International Airport in La Paz, to Captain Aníbal Arab Airport in Cobija. On 1 February 2008, the Boeing 727-259 operating this flight ran out of fuel while on approach to Teniente Jorge Henrich Arauz Airport in Trinidad, Beni, Trinidad as an alternate route. The aircraft made an emergency landing in a swampy area a few kilometres from the airport. All 156 people on board survived, while two people only suffered minor injuries. The pilot in command (PIC) of an aircraft is the person aboard an aircraft who is ultimately responsible for its operation and safety during flight.
