Lloa People
Lloa is a group of Austronesian indigenous Formosan people living in the southern plain of Taiwan from Yunlin, Jiayi, to northern Tainan. They have lived through the Dutch colonization of Taiwan, as well as the Manchurian occupation during the Qing dynasty. Lloa are generally classified together with the Hoanya and Arikun as a single group, which idea has been rejected by some scholars and the indigenous people themselves. Zhuluo County
Zhuluo County () was a political division in Taiwan from 1684 to 1787, during Qing Dynasty rule of the island. Initially encompassing the underdeveloped northern two-thirds of Taiwan, the county shrank in size as the population and economy of the northern and central western plains grew and new counties were created out of the developed areas; the Zhuluo county was eventually reduced to an under-developed area in south-western Taiwan. In 1787, the county underwent further restructuring and was renamed Chiayi County. Name The city now known as Chiayi originally took its name from the aboriginal tribe who lived there: the Tirosen. The former Chinese placename was Tsu-lo-san (), a representation of the original Formosan-language name. Dutch Formosa
The island of Taiwan, also commonly known as ''Formosa'', was partly under colonial rule by the Dutch Republic from 1624 to 1662 and from 1664 to 1668. In the context of the Age of Discovery, the Dutch East India Company established its presence on Formosa to trade with the Ming Empire in neighbouring China and Tokugawa shogunate in Japan, and to interdict Portuguese Empire, Portuguese and Spanish Empire, Spanish trade and colonial activities in East Asia. Taiwanese Plains Aborigines
Plains indigenous peoples, also known as Pingpu people ( zh, c=平埔族群, p=Píngpu zúqún, poj=Pêⁿ-po͘-cho̍k-kûn) and previously as plain aborigines, are Taiwanese indigenous peoples originally residing in lowland regions, as opposed to Highland indigenous peoples. Plains indigenous peoples consist of anywhere from eight to twelve individual groups, or tribes, rather than being a single ethnic group. They are part of the Austronesian family. Beginning in the 17th century, plains indigenous peoples have been heavily influenced by external forces from Dutch, Spanish, and Han Chinese colonization of Taiwan. Arikun People
Arikun is a group of Austronesian indigenous Formosan people living from the western plain to central basin of Taiwan, especially. They have lived through the Dutch colonization of Taiwan, as well as the Manchurian occupation during the Qing dynasty. Arikun people along with Lloa people used to be classified as a subgroup of Hoanya people, but this concept has been rejected by some scholars, as the name "Hoanya" seems to be a derogatory exonym from ''huan-á'' (Southern Min: "the barbarians") by the Chinese immigrants. In the 19th century, Arikun people were invited by indigenous people living in Puli, Nantou, to migrate there, along with many other plain indigenous peoples from western Taiwan, including the Lloa people. Yunlin County
Yunlin is a Counties of Taiwan, county in Regions of Taiwan, western Taiwan.
