Aberffraw
Aberffraw is a village and community (Wales), community on the south west coast of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales. The village is 9 miles from the island's county town, Llangefni, and is on the west bank of the Afon Ffraw (Ffraw River). The community includes Soar, Anglesey, Soar and Dothan. It is on the A4080 road, A4080 and the nearest rail station is Bodorgan railway station, Bodorgan. The village has a long history as a settlement from the Mesolithic Age. More recently, in medieval times, the site became the capital of the Kingdom of Gwynedd and a royal residence for the family of the House of Aberffraw. The name of the village is often truncated to "Berffro" in the local dialect of Welsh. Anglesey ( ; ) is an island off the north-west coast of Wales. Ynys Môn (Senedd Constituency)
Ynys Môn is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Ynys Môn is also one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole. It was represented from 1999 by Ieuan Wyn Jones, the former leader of Plaid Cymru. Jones resigned from the Assembly on 20 June 2013, triggering a by-election, which was held on 1 August 2013. Ynys Môn (; officially called Anglesey until 1983) is a United Kingdom constituencies, constituency of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Cwyfan
Cribinau is a small tidal island off the south west coast of the isle of Anglesey in Wales between Porth China and Porth Cwyfan. The island is in Aberffraw Community, about west of Aberffraw village. The island can be reached on foot at low tide. It is notable for the 13th-century Church in Wales church of St Cwyfan, called in ("the little church in the sea") or simply ''Cwyfan''. Church St Cwyfan's church was in existence by 1254 and was enlarged in the 14th and 15th centuries. The building later fell into disrepair, and in the 19th century parts of the church were demolished. By 1891 the surviving part was roofless, so an appeal was launched which paid for the building of a new roof. In about the 1970s all the windows were restored, but now the building is deteriorating again and a new restoration appeal has been launched.
