Llandudno Ladies F.C.
Llandudno Ladies Football Club are a Welsh women's association football club based in Llandudno Junction, Conwy County Borough. They currently play their home games at Maesdu Park and play in the Adran North. History Llandudno Ladies were founded as Llandudno Junction Ladies as they were affiliated to men's team Llandudno Junction. In 2010, Llandudno Junction Ladies were promoted into the Welsh Premier Women's League however they only lasted one season before being relegated. In 2012, they were promoted back to the Welsh Premier Women's Football League due to the league expanding to twelve teams and becoming a fully national league. In their debut season back in top flight, Llandudno set a Welsh record for the most goals scored in a top flight game in Wales by winning 23–0 against Caerphilly Castle F.C. Maesdu Park
Maesdu Park (known as The Go Goodwins Stadium for sponsorship reasons) is a multi-sport stadium in Llandudno, Wales. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, and is the home ground of JD Cymru North League team Llandudno F.C. The 2015–16 Welsh League Cup, 2016 Welsh League Cup final was held at the ground. History Maesdu Park was first opened in 1991, with the club moving from the town's Oval ground which had hosted football after Llandudno's previous ground was sold for use as an Asda store in the 1970s. Floodlights were added in 1994 and the following season the club constructed a small clubhouse and two small stands providing 130 seats. A new press box, changing rooms and new grandstands have since been completed. An artificial pitch was installed at the stadium in the summer of 2010. Adran North
The Adran Leagues (for sponsorship reasons called the Genero Adran Leagues) is the senior women's football league in Wales. Founded in 2009 as the Welsh Women's League, it rebranded in 2021 as the Adran Leagues. It consist of three divisions – the top tier is the Adran Premier, and the second tier is split geographically into Adran North and Adran South conferences. The Adran Leagues runs an annual competition for all clubs, known as the Adran Trophy. League competition Adran Premier As of 2024, the Adran Premier consists of eight teams. Each year one is relegated and one is promoted from the second tier. Llandudno Junction (), once known as Tremarl, is a town in the Community (Wales), community of Conwy in Conwy County Borough, Wales. Llandudno Junction and neighbouring Deganwy are both part of the built-up area and community of Conwy. It takes its name from Llandudno Junction railway station, built in 1858 as the junction for the Llandudno branch line; the town of Llandudno lies north of Llandudno Junction. The station is today a junction between the North Wales Main Line, Crewe-Holyhead line and the Conwy Valley line, Llandudno-Blaenau Ffestiniog line. The FA of Wales Women's Challenge Cup, better known as the Welsh Women's Cup is the national women's football cup competition for Wales. It is run by the Football Association of Wales. As Wales had no national league for women until the establishment of the Welsh Premier League in the 2009–10 season the Welsh Cup was the only ticket to the Women's Champions League. Unlike in the men's game, however, English-oriented clubs are allowed to participate. Cardiff City Ladies won eight consecutive cups from 2003 to 2010.
