Ljungby Kommun
Ljungby Municipality () is a Municipalities of Sweden, municipality in Kronoberg County, southern Sweden, where the town Ljungby (town), Ljungby is seat. In 1971 the ''City of Ljungby'' (1936-1970) was Amalgamation (politics), amalgamated with the rural municipalities surrounding it, thus creating the present municipality. In 1974 a minor adjustment of the boundaries took place. There are 19 original entities within the area. Geography Ljungby Municipality contains a little more plains than average in Småland. Lakes, forests and plains are never far away. The tenth largest lakes in Sweden, lake in Sweden, Bolmen, is located in the north-western part of the municipality. The town Ljungby is visited by thousands of tourists, mainly from Germany, every summer. 2022 Swedish General Election
General elections were held in Sweden on 11 September 2022 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag who in turn elected the Prime Minister of Sweden. Agunnaryd
Agunnaryd is a locality and a parish situated in Ljungby Municipality, Kronoberg County, Sweden with 220 inhabitants in 2010. Agunnaryd is chiefly associated with the industrialist Ingvar Kamprad, who founded IKEA (the ''A'' of which stands for ''Agunnaryd''). It has one school, a kindergarten, a small supermarket named 'Matöppet', and four football teams. The little village has its own newspaper/newsletter, Agunnaryds Allehanda, that is mailed to inhabitants once a month. The nearby lake of Agunnarydsjön, located some 300 meters from the village church, is a haven for fishing and swimming. The lake is part of the Helge å river system, extending further down into the lake of Möckeln, south of Agunnaryd.
