Ljuba Baranin
Ljubo Baranin (Serbian Cyrillic: Љубо Баранин; born 25 August 1986) is a Serbian retired footballer who played as a defender. He was well known for his long-range powerful throw-in ability. Club career Born in Belgrade, Baranin came through the youth ranks of Železnik, before making his senior debut with Dorćol in the 2003–04 season. He also played for Beograd from 2005 to 2007. In the summer of 2009, Baranin signed with Bežanija. He spent two seasons at the club, before moving abroad and joining Azerbaijani club Gabala in the summer of 2009. After three seasons there, Baranin switched to fellow Premier League club Kapaz in the summer of 2012. He left the club after only two months, before returning to his homeland to play with Novi Pazar in the top flight of Serbian football. Serbian First League
The Serbian First League ( sr, Прва лига Србије / Prva liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet First League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Прва лига / Mozzart Bet Prva liga) for sponsorship reasons, is the name for the second tier in professional Serbia's football league. The league was formed in 2005, following a reshuffle of the second tier Serbo-Montenegrin divisions. It is operated by the Football Association of Serbia. Format The league is usually formed by 16 clubs which play all against one another twice, once at home, once away. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Football Association of Serbia completed a restructure of the league system, and in season 2020/2021 that meant 18 clubs would be competing in the Serbian First League, the number of clubs will go back to the usual 16 following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season. 2015–16 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2015–16 Serbian SuperLiga is the tenth season of the Serbian SuperLiga since its establishment. The season was started on 17 July 2015 and will be finished on 21 May 2016 with a matches of the last round of the play-offs. Partizan are the defending champions. Changes from 2014–15 Structural changes The competition has been split into two stages, regular season and playoffs. Regular season Each of the 16 competitors in the SuperLiga hosts every other team once in the regular season, for a total of 30 matches. A win earns three points and a draw earns one point. The Serbian First League ( sr, Prva liga Srbije) is the second-highest football league in Serbia. The league is operated by the Serbian FA. Sixteen teams competed in this league for the 2013–14 season. Two teams were promoted to the Serbian Superliga while the 3rd placed team played in the play-offs against the 14th team in the Super liga for the first time. Four teams were relegated to the Serbian League, the third-highest division overall in the Serbian football league system. The 2012–13 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Jelen SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the Serbian SuperLiga since its establishment. The season began on 26 August 2012 and ended on 25 May 2013. A total of 16 teams contested the league, including 14 sides from the 2011–12 season and two promoted from the 2011–12 Serbian First League. Partizan successfully defended their title. Last two teams, BSK Borča and Smederevo were relegated, while 14th team played play-off with 3rd placed team from 2012–13 Serbian First League. Teams Metalac and Borac Čačak were relegated to the 2012–13 Serbian First League after the last season for finishing in 16th and 15th place, respectively. The 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League was the twenty first season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 4 August 2012 and finished on 20 May 2013. Neftchi Baku are the defending champions, having won the previous season. No club from 2012–13 Azerbaijan First Division was directly promoted. The 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League (known as the Unibank Premyer Liqası for sponsorship reasons) was the twentieth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku was the defending champions, having won their second Azerbaijani championship the previous season. A total of twelve teams participated in the league, the ten sides remaining of the 2010–11 season, one promoted club from the 2010–11 Azerbaijan First Division and a totally new club instead of defunct First Division champions FC Absheron.
