Elisa Espinoza known as Lizz is a Chilean DJ and MC, as well as a singer, songwriter and producer. Her music is characterized by mixing sounds from the Latin underground with influences from trap, reggaeton, and electronic music. She is co-founder of the neoperreo subgenre. Biography Elisa Espinoza grew up in Hualpén. At the age of 17, she traveled to Oxford, United Kingdom, where she studied English Language and Literature at Oxford Brookes University. Upon returning to Chile, she studied Art History with a minor in Aesthetics at the University of Chile. She began DJing in 2012, mixing reggaeton and trap under the pseudonym Lizz. His first stages were parties like Perreo Intenz and Hotmess in Santiago de Chile, in which she presented a visual proposal inspired by neighborhood life, the internet and art. In 2016, she published her first EP titled Imperio Vol. 1, mixing her Latin roots with black music, followed by singles and collaborations with artists such as Tomasa del Real, ...

Neoperreo
Neoperreo is a subgenre of reggaeton with some degree of popularity in Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Chile. Among the most prominent acts of the scene are Tomasa del Real from Chile and Ms Nina from Argentina. Within the United States, neoperreo is more popular in Los Angeles than in Miami, where traditional reggaeton prevails. Origins and characteristics Neoperreo emerged alongside the emergence of mainstream reggaeton; neoperreo is characterized by darker qualities and distances itself from popular pop artists. In addition, it has been characterized with a strong presence of queer and female artists, as well as lyrics that usually relate to subverting or re-appropriating general stereotypes—especially those relating to sexuality. Hualpén
Hualpén () is a Chilean city and commune belonging to Concepción Province and the Biobío Region. It is part of the conurbation of Greater Concepción. The commune spans an area of .
