Liza Brönner
Liza Brönner is a South African singer and songwriter. Her music is performed in both Afrikaans and English language, English. Brönner is also a stage actress. Her debut album, ''Onderstebo'' was released on 21 September 2009 by EMI. This album has been repacked on 29 March 2010 with four new songs as ''Asemloos'' and also released by EMI. Her third album, ''Vir eers is dit net ek...'' was released on 1 September 2011 by HIT Records. In May 2013, Liza won the reality program searching for a replacement actor for the stage production (musical) ''Liefling''. She plays the lead role across from :af:Bobby van Jaarsveld, Bobby van Jaarsveld playing Jan in the musical. ''Huisgenoot'' (Afrikaans for ''House Companion'') is a weekly South African Afrikaans-language general-interest family magazine. It has the highest circulation figures of any South African magazine and is followed by sister magazine ''YOU'', its English-language version. A third magazine, ''Drum'', is directed at the black market. The magazines have a combined circulation of about 550 000 copies a week. Yvonne Beyers is the current editor of ''Huisgenoot''. It is estimated that more than two million people read ''Huisgenoot'' weekly. The magazine also has many brand extensions and a popular concert, Skouspel, was held at Sun City every year until 2014. Some of the best Afrikaans artists are heard and the most popular singers, actors and TV shows of the year are honoured with an award called Tempo. "Substitute" is a song by Willie H. Wilson, recorded first by The Righteous Brothers and released as a single from their album ''The Sons of Mrs. Righteous'' in 1975. A 1978 version by the South African all-female band Clout was a global hit. Pieter van Jaarsveld, professionally known as Bobby van Jaarsveld, (born 6 March 1987) is a South African Afrikaans-language pop singer-songwriter and actor. Early life Van Jaarsveld, who was nicknamed "Bobby" after his father, was born on 6 March 1987 in Paarl, Western Cape. He is the second of three children and has two sisters, one of whom is also a singer (Karlien van Jaarsveld). As a child, he attended several primary schools before matriculating from Brits High School. Career Music Van Jaarsveld started his professional singing career in high school when he was offered singing record, and he released his first solo album in his last year. Country pop (also known as pop country or urban cowboy) is a fusion genre of country music and pop music that was developed by members of the country genre out of a desire to reach a larger, mainstream audience.
