The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' in 2003, in order of first appearance. Nathan Rogers Nathan Rogers, played by Jay Thomas, was the boyfriend of Nick O'Connor (Darren Bransford). Nick and Nathan met whilst Nathan was working at II Gnosh and they started dating. Nick later revealed to Nathan that his parents didn't know that he was gay, so Nathan encouraged Nick to tell his parents, agreeing to go with him. However, Nick's father reacted badly to Nick's revelation and threw Nick and Nathan out. Ellie Mills
Ellie Mills (also Hunter) is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Sarah Baxendale. The character made her first on-screen appearance on 15 February 2002. Ellie is part of the show's Hunter family. She had been referenced on-screen numerous times as her family were searching for her after she goes missing in Ibiza. She later arrives in Chester which shocks her family. Ellie is characterised as a confident and independent female but has selfish tendencies. Ellie's stories have revolved around her relationships, especially with Toby Mills (Henry Luxemburg), who she later marries. Writers portrayed Toby as a serial killer who goes on a prolonged murder spree in the community. Writers embroiled Ellie into his crimes and she choses not to report him to the police. Bryan Kirkwood
Bryan Kirkwood (born November 1975) is a British television producer. He was the producer of the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'' from 2006 until 2009 and was the executive producer of the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' from 2010 until 2012. He returned as the executive producer of ''Hollyoaks'' in late 2012, before leaving again in March 2021. His final episodes aired in June of that year. In 2022, he returned to ''EastEnders'' as a writer. Career Kirkwood's first major role came as a storyline for ITV's ''Coronation Street''. Lisa Hunter is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Gemma Atkinson. She made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 23 April 2001. The character is noted for her storylines including bullying and self-harming. After her exit from ''Hollyoaks'', Atkinson reprised the role twice in two spin-off series. Let Loose is a British pop trio, started by Richard John "Richie" Wermerling (lead vocals and keyboards), Robert George Edward "Rob" Jeffrey (guitars and backing vocals) and Lee J. Les Hunter is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by John Graham Davies. The character debuted on-screen during the episode broadcast on 26 April 2001. Johnno Dean
Johnno Dean is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played originally by Mark Powley. He first appeared in November 2002, and from April 2003 was replaced by Colin Wells until his exit on 22 July 2005. The character returned on 26 to 31 October 2017 for a guest stint to coincide with the exit of his former wife, Frankie Osborne ( Helen Pearson). Casting Mark Powley originally played Johnno but the role was recast in 2003 with Colin Wells. Hollyoaks did not anticipate Johnno becoming a central character. Izzy Davies (also Cornwell) is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', played by Elize du Toit. She made her first appearance in 2000 before leaving in 2004. The character then briefly returned in October 2007.
