Living Dangerously (1998) was the inaugural Living Dangerously professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). It took place on March 1, 1998 from the Asbury Park Convention Hall in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Event Preliminary matches The event kicked off with a tag team match between The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido and Tracey Smothers) and the team of Jerry Lynn and Chris Chetti. Tommy Rich tried to hit Lynn with the Italian flag but Lynn ducked and Rich accidentally hit Smothers with it, allowing Lynn to roll-up Smothers for the win. Next, Masato Tanaka and Yukihiro Kanemura from Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling were scheduled to compete in a match which would mark the ECW debut of Tanaka and Kanemura until Lance Wright interrupted the match and announced that Doug Furnas would be replacing Kanemura. Asbury Park Convention Hall
Asbury Park Convention Hall is a 3,600-seat indoor exhibition center located on the boardwalk and on the beach in Asbury Park in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was built between 1928 and 1930 and is used for sports, concerts and other special events. Adjacent to the Convention Hall is the Paramount Theatre; both are connected by a Grand Arcade. Leg Drop
A leg drop or legdrop refers to an attack used in professional wrestling in which an attacking wrestler will jump and land his leg across a fallen opponent's chest, throat, face or head or in some cases, the groin/lower-abdominal area. The move can also be dangerous when the wrestler excessively used it many times will damage their hip, lower back, and pelvis, as Hulk Hogan had multiple surgeries on his back and hip while Matt Hardy had his lower back and pelvis fused together. Terrance Michael "Terry" Brunk (born December 12, 1964) is an American retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Sabu. He is known for his trademark style of hardcore wrestling, which he pioneered in his time with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) from 1995 to 2000. A powerbomb is a professional wrestling throw in which an opponent is lifted (usually so that they are sitting on the wrestler's shoulders) and then slammed back-first down to the mat. Aerial techniques, also known as "high-flying moves" are maneuvers in professional wrestling using the ring's posts and ropes as aids, in many cases to demonstrate the speed and agility of smaller, nimble and acrobatically inclined wrestlers preferring this style instead of throwing or locking the opponent. In professional wrestling, a referee is an authority figure present in or near the ring during matches. The referee's purpose is similar to that of referees in combat sports such as boxing or mixed martial arts, that is, as an arbiter of the rules and the person charged with rendering decisions. Dwight Douglas Furnas (December 11, 1959 – March 2, 2012) was an American professional wrestler and powerlifter. He was an APF National and World Powerlifting Champion, who set multiple world records in the 275 pound weight class.
