''Livet måste levas ''(English: ''Life must be lived'') is a Swedish film from 1943 directed by Elof Ahrle. The film is based on a novel by the same name written by Bertil Johnson (pseudonym for Theodor Berthels). The film was photographed by Sten Dahlgren edited by Tage Holmberg. AB Svea Film was the production and distribution company. At 84 minutes long, the film premiered on 27 September 1943 at various theaters in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Linköping and Norrköping in Sweden and was classified suitable for 15-year-olds and older. ''Livet måste levas'' was played between April and June 1943 in Centrumateljéerna in Stockholm. Elof Ahrle
Elof Ahrle (21 January 1900 – 3 June 1965) was a Swedish actor and film director. He appeared in 80 films between 1920 and 1960. He also directed ten films between 1942 and 1950. He was married to actress Birgit Rosengren. Sten Dahlgren
The STEN (or Sten gun) is a British submachine gun chambered in 9×19mm which was used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II and during the Korean War. The Sten paired a simple design with a low production cost, facilitating mass production to meet the demand for submachine guns. As well as equipping regular units, the Sten was distributed to resistance groups within occupied Europe. Its simple design made it an effective insurgency weapon for resistance groups. The Sten is a select fire, blowback-operated weapon with a side-mounted magazine. Sten is an acronym, derived from the names of the weapon's chief designers: Major Reginald V. Shepherd and Harold J. Turpin, and "En" for the Enfield factory.
