''Live Wired'' is a live album by Vancouver industrial band Front Line Assembly, released in 1996, with the majority of tracks coming from the bands previous two studio albums; '' Millennium'' and ''Hard Wired''. A box set including the two CDs plus a VHS with all of the band's video clips to date (except "Mindphaser" and "Body Count"), and a live concert video (from the show in Chemnitz 1995, different from the one on CD) was released at the same time. Front Line Assembly
Front Line Assembly (FLA) is a Canadian electro-industrial band formed by Bill Leeb in 1986 after leaving Skinny Puppy. FLA has developed its own sound incorporating elements of electronic body music and electro-industrial. The band's membership has rotated through the years, including Michael Balch, Rhys Fulber, and Chris Peterson, all of whom are associated with several other acts. Since their inception, the group have produced over a dozen studio albums and EPs, several of which have charted on ''Billboards Top Dance/Electronic Album chart. The albums '' Tactical Neural Implant'' and ''Hard Wired'' are two of the group's most successful records, the former being considered a classic among industrial music fans. ''Millennium'' is the seventh full-length studio album by industrial band Front Line Assembly, released in 1994 by Roadrunner Records on both Compact Disc and LP formats. The album is also being planned for an LP release in 2020, by the Canadian label Artoffact. The album marks the first major use of metal guitars, shifting in musical direction from their typical electro-industrial sound. The riffs were obtained from samples and the musicianship of the then unknown Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad, who would also contribute and perform on the next album. David McKean (born 29 December 1963) is an English illustrator, photographer, comic book artist, graphic designer, filmmaker and musician. His work incorporates drawing, painting, photography, collage, found objects, digital art, and sculpture. McKean's projects include illustrating books by authors such as Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, Heston Blumenthal, Ray Bradbury and Stephen King, and directed three feature films. Jed Simon
Jedson Louis Simon (born February 27, 1964) is a Canadian musician. He was a member of supergroup Scar the Martyr and has been a member of numerous metal bands, including Front Line Assembly, Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole, and TENET. He is currently a member of VIMIC. Biography Simon was born on February 27, 1964 in Victoria, British Columbia. He gained attention in the metal community with his third speed metal band Armoros, which was founded in 1985. Armoros disbanded in 1989 after two successful demos and an album. Simon's next band was Caustic Thought, when his career with Byron Stroud began. Simon did three demos with Caustic Thought, and when he left them, he gave the job to Devin Townsend. After Caustic Thought, Simon briefly worked with Townsend on his Noisescapes project, who then left for Los Angeles to play with Steve Vai. Adrian White (musician)
Adrian White is a Canadian drummer. In 1994, White played drums on the first album from Devin Townsend's newly founded Strapping Young Lad Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing as well as co writing and demo recording the majority of Strapping Young Lad City. Shortly after he toured with Front Line Assembly (FLA) on the Hard Wired Tour in 1995–96 recording the Live Wired concert tour video and album. In 2000, Adrian rejoined FLA for more touring in Europe and the WGT Festival leaving the band in 2006 after the Artificial Soldier tour. In 2003 he pulled double duty, joining FLA side-projects Delerium and Conjure One for a sold-out North American tour. On 17 December 2010, Reset announced the return of Adrian White with the band at the same time they announced a concert to celebrate its 15th year of existence. Caustic Grip
''Caustic Grip'' is the fifth full-length studio album by Front Line Assembly, originally released on Third Mind Records in Europe and on WaxTrax! Records in the United States in 1990. Background The album was the first without co-founding member Michael Balch after Rhys Fulber became a full-time member of the band. Originally intended to record the successor to '' Gashed Senses & Crossfire'' together with Leeb, Balch took on tour obligations for Ministry and Revolting Cocks. Leeb decided not to wait and started working with Fulber. Fulber had already worked with Leeb on the ''Nerve War'' demo and taken part in the ''Gashed Senses & Crossfire'' tour. ''Caustic Grip'' also marked the beginning of the long-standing collaboration with Canadian record producer Greg Reely who assumed mixing duties on the album.
