Liv Buck
Liv Marie Buck (24 December 1928 – 29 March 2012) was a Norwegian trade unionist. She hailed from Oslo. She entered the union Union of Employees in Commerce and Offices when she started working, and in 1968 she was hired as secretary for women's affairs in the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions. She was promoted to secretary in 1971, and became the first women in the management of the Confederation of Trade Unions. From 1977 to 1989 she served as head secretary. She was succeeded by Jan Balstad. She chaired the Norwegian People's Aid, was a board member of the Equal Wages Council, the Regional Development Fund, the Norwegian Guarantee Institute for Export Credits, the Industry Fund, Rikstrygdeverket. and Oslo Kinematografer. She was also a member of the National Wages Board, originally as deputy of Leif Haraldseth but from 1986 as a full member. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age the area was part of Viken. Oslo was founded as a city at the end of the Viking Age in 1040 under the name Ánslo, and established as a ''kaupstad'' or trading place in 1048 by Harald Hardrada. The city was elevated to a bishopric in 1070 and a capital under Haakon V of Norway around 1300. Personal unions with Denmark from 1397 to 1523 and again from 1536 to 1814 reduced its influence. After being destroyed by a fire in 1624, during the reign of King Christian IV, a new city was built closer to Akershus Fortress and named Christiania in honour of the king. Aftenposten

It sold 211,769 copies in 2015 (172,029 printed copies according to University of Bergen) and estimated 1.2 million readers. It converted from broadsheet to compact format in March 2005. ''Aftenposten''s online edition is at Aftenposten.no. It is considered a newspaper of record for Norway. ''Aftenposten'' is a private company wholly owned by the public company Schibsted ASA. Harald Øveraas
Harald Eugen Øveraas (16 July 1927 – 9 February 2014) was a Norwegian trade unionist. He hailed from Velfjord. He started working on the Nordland Line at the age of 15, and later worked in mines at Svalbard, Malm and Løkken Verk. His first trade union post came in 1946 at Svalbard. He also worked at two construction sites as well as prison guard. In 1966 he was hired as an information secretary in the Norwegian Union of General Workers. He was later elected as vice chairman in 1979, advancing to chairman in 1981 after the death of chairman Ole Flesvig. He served until 1991, and then chaired the Norwegian People's Aid for the next eight years. Norwegian Transport Workers' Union
Norwegian Transport Workers' Union ( Norwegian:''Norsk Transportarbeiderforbund'', NTF) was a Norwegian trade union which was established on 2 April 1896. The union organised workers in logistics and private goods and passenger transport. The main areas for the union were drivers plus workshop and maintenance personnel in the bus companies, warehouses and terminal workers, drivers in forwarding and wholesale industry, mailroom employees and delivering personnel in newspaper companies, taxi drivers, employees in the environmental industry (waste disposal and recycling), freight drivers (long and local transport of goods ) and stevedores workers in the ports. The union had over 20,000 members in 20 unions across Norway. The union's head office in Oslo consisted of eight officers and nine employees. Leif Haraldseth
Leif Haraldseth (30 November 1929 – 8 April 2019) was a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party. Early life He was born in Drammen as a son of worker Hans Haraldseth (1905–1977) and housewife Ingrid (1907–1999). He finished secondary education in 1947, was a delivery boy in the Norwegian State Railways for two years, then attended the Railway School and worked as a telegrapher in the State Railways from 1951 til 1965. Trade unionism and politics In 1965 he was hired as district secretary of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions in Buskerud. In 1969 he was promoted to secretary and in 1977 to vice chairman of the organization. On both occasions he replaced Odd Højdahl. National Wages Board
The National Wages Board ( no, Rikslønnsnemnda) is a Norwegian body for resolving labour disputes. Its task is to perform a compulsory arbitration ( no, tvungen lønnsnemnd) when negotiations of parties in Norwegian working life (employers and employees) stall, and if the conflict ( strike or lockout) has "consequences for life or health, or has other seriously damaging effects on society". The Parliament of Norway, or the Government of Norway when the Parliament is not in session, are responsible for convening the National Wages Board. Oslo Kino is a Norwegian cinema company, based in Oslo. History Its creation was agreed to by the city authorities of Oslo in 1925, and the company was inaugurated on 1 January 1926 as ''Oslo Kinematografer''. It was a part of the Norwegian system of municipally-owned cinemas, superseding private ownership in the field. Only the Conservative Party and the Liberal Left Party voted against municipalization. These parties subsequently attempted to privatize cinemas in the years after 1926, but failed. An important motivation for municipal ownership was the surplus from the budget, which could be used for other cultural budget posts. Oslo Concert Hall, Folketeatret, Gustav Vigeland's atelier (later the Vigeland Museum) and the Munch Museum received monetary support from the cinema fund.
