Liu Yazhou
Liu Yazhou (; born 19 October 1952) is a retired general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), and the political commissar of the PLA National Defence University from 2009 to 2017. Liu is the son-in-law of former Chinese president Li Xiannian. He is known for his hawkish views on the defense and strategic posture he believes China should adopt. In 2023 he was given a suspended death sentence for corruption. Background and career Liu was born in 1952 in Fenghua, Ningbo, Zhejiang. Liu Yazhou has been described as a " princeling": his father was a senior military officer and his father-in-law was Li Xiannian, one of the Chinese Communist Party's ''Eight Immortals'' and president of China in the era of Deng Xiaoping. Zhang Zhaozhong (military Official)
Zhang Zhaozhong (; born May 6, 1952) is a retired Chinese military theorist at the PLA National Defense University. He held the rank of rear admiral in the People's Liberation Army Navy prior to his retirement. Earlier Life He was born in a small village. Dai Xu (; born 30 September 1964) is a Chinese author, social commentator, and the president of the Marine Institute For Security And Cooperation (). He is also a professor at the PLA National Defense University. Xu holds the rank of Senior Colonel in the People's Liberation Army Air Force.
