Little Nemo (band)
Little Nemo is a French rock band formed in 1983 and originating from the region of Paris (Vallée de Chevreuse). The name of the band was directly inspired by the comic ''Little Nemo in Slumberland''. They and fellow coldwave bands Mary Goes Round and Asylum Party Asylum Party were a French post-punk/cold wave band formed in 1985 in Courbevoie by guitarist-vocalist Philippe Planchon and bassist-vocalist Thierry Sobézyk. The duo later added keyboardist Pascale Macé. Their sound had gothic rock influences ... were part of the "Touching Pop" movement. French Rock
French rock is a form of rock music produced in France, primarily with lyrics in the French language. French rock was born as early as mid-1950s, when writer, songwriter and jazz player Boris Vian wrote parody rock songs for Magali Noël or Henri Salvador. Little Nemo In Slumberland
Little Nemo is a fictional character created by American cartoonist Winsor McCay. He originated in an early comic strip by McCay, ''Dream of the Rarebit Fiend'', before receiving his own spin-off series, ''Little Nemo in Slumberland''. The full-page weekly strip depicted Nemo having fantastic dreams that were interrupted by his awakening in the final panel. Asylum Party
Asylum Party were a French post-punk/cold wave band formed in 1985 in Courbevoie by guitarist-vocalist Philippe Planchon and bassist-vocalist Thierry Sobézyk. The duo later added keyboardist Pascale Macé. Their sound had gothic rock influences and was very similar to English post-punk bands.
