Litku Klemetti
Litku Klemetti (real name Sanna Klemetti, 1987) is a Finnish musician, singer and songwriter influenced by schlager, punk and progressive rock. She started in the indie scene but gained mainstream popularity. Early life and bands Klemetti was born in Kuhmo, in a family she has described as being highly typical. As a young girl she got in touch with the classic albums of progressive rock in her local library, and later began listening to old Finnish schlager artists from cassette tapes. An especially important record for her was ''We're Only in It for the Money'' by Mothers of Invention. Klemetti felt highly alienated from other young people, as she didn't know anybody else who listened to progressive rock. During her school years she spent some time in psychiatric ward due to her problems. After gymnasium, Klemetti studied singing in Orivesi. In 2007, she moved to Jyväskylä where her aunt had lived. Kuhmo
Kuhmo (known as ''Kuhmoniemi'' until 1937) is a town and a municipality in Finland and is located at the south-eastern corner of the Kainuu region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . It has a borderline of with Russia ( Finnish-Russian border). Ilkka Johannes Lipsanen (born 24 September 1942), commonly known by his stage name Danny, is a Finnish singer and guitarist. Still active, Danny's singing career is one of the longest in Finland, spanning over more than 50 years. He has recorded many evergreen hit songs. He achieved some notoriety outside Finland in 2006 when the music video for his 1978 duet with the late Armi Aavikko, "Tahdon olla sulle hellä", sung in English as "I Wanna Love You Tender", became an internet meme. Balalaika
The balalaika (russian: link=no, балала́йка, ) is a Russian stringed musical instrument with a characteristic triangular wooden, hollow body, fretted neck and three strings. Two strings are usually tuned to the same note and the third string is a perfect fourth higher. The higher-pitched balalaikas are used to play melodies and chords. The instrument generally has a short sustain, necessitating rapid strumming or plucking when it is used to play melodies. Balalaikas are often used for Russian folk music and dancing.
