Gobe Software, Inc was a software company founded in 1997 by members of the ClarisWorks development team that developed and published an integrated desktop software suite for BeOS. In later years, it was the distributor of BeOS itself. Jarte
Jarte is a word processor for users of Microsoft Windows, based on the WordPad engine, produced by Carolina Road Software. In terms of market appeal, Jarte is a lighter alternative to the feature laden Microsoft Word. The standard version of Jarte is offered free of charge, while a Jarte Plus, originally a paid enhanced version, has also been made free. The (formerly) purchasable version offers a variety of extra features, including Auto-Correct and Auto-Outline. In most other respects, Jarte Plus is the same as the freeware version. Adobe InCopy is a professional word processor made by Adobe Inc. that integrates with Adobe InDesign. InCopy is used for general word processing, in contrast to InDesign, which is used to publish printed material, including newspapers and magazines. The software enables editors to write, edit, and design documents. The software includes standard word processing features such as spell check, track changes, and word count, and has various viewing modes that allow editors to visually inspect design elements — just as it looks to the designer working in Adobe InDesign.
