List Of Cancelled Game Boy Games
This is a list of cancelled Game Boy video games. The Game Boy is a handheld video game console released by Nintendo in 1989. It was Nintendo's first portable game console, and enjoyed great success until being succeeded by the Game Boy Color (GBC) in 1998. During this time, several games being developed for the system were cancelled for reasons such as financial difficulties, poor market climate, and the forthcoming release of the GBC, with some games being moved to that system instead. Many of these games were not known about in detail or in any capacity until 2020, when ROM images of several game prototypes were leaked onto the internet as part of a larger Nintendo data leak. This list documents all known games that were confirmed to be announced or in development for the Game Boy Color at some point, but did not end up being released for it in any capacity. Game Boy
The is an 8-bit fourth generation handheld game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was first released in Japan on April 21, 1989, in North America later the same year, and in Europe in late 1990. It was designed by the same team that developed the Game & Watch series of handheld electronic games and several Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games: Satoru Okada, Gunpei Yokoi, and Nintendo Research & Development 1. It is Nintendo's second handheld game console and combines features from both the Game & Watch handheld and NES home system. The console features a dot-matrix screen with adjustable contrast dial, five game control buttons (a directional pad, two game buttons, and "START" and "SELECT"), a single speaker with adjustable volume dial and, like its rivals, uses cartridges as physical media for games. ''Ultraman'', also known as the , is the collective name for all media produced by Tsuburaya Productions featuring Ultraman, his many brethren, and the myriad monsters. ''Diablo'' is an action role-playing video game developed by Blizzard North and released by Blizzard Entertainment in January 1997, and is the first installment in the video game series of the same name. Set in the fictional Kingdom of Khanduras in the mortal realm, the player controls a lone hero battling to rid the world of Diablo, the Lord of Terror. Beneath the town of Tristram, the player journeys through sixteen randomly generated dungeon levels, ultimately entering Hell in order to face Diablo. An expansion pack, '' Diablo: Hellfire'', was released in November 1997 by Synergistic Software. In 1998, Electronic Arts released ''Diablo'' for the PlayStation. ''Diablo II'' is an action role-playing hack-and-slash video game developed by Blizzard North and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2000 for Microsoft Windows, Classic Mac OS, and macOS. The Legendary Starfy
is a video game series developed by Tose and published by Nintendo. The series is the only franchise for which Tose owns the copyright, which they share with Nintendo; as a result, Tose, which normally does not put their company name on their games, does so in the ''Starfy'' series. The series began in 2002 with '' Densetsu no Stafy'' for the Game Boy Advance, and four sequels were released. For its first seven years, ''Starfy'' games were not released outside Japan. is a platform video game developed by Tose and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance system exclusively in Japan on September 6, 2002. It is the first game in the series '' The Legendary Starfy''. Plot In the beginning, the protagonist, Stafy, known as Starfy in Western regions, was moving things around his home, Pufftop Palace, until he tripped and dropped some things he was moving. Hi Tech Expressions (later Hi Tech Entertainment) was an American video game publisher headquartered in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The company was established in 1986. During the course of its existence, the company published primarily juvenile-oriented games.
