Clementi Bus Interchange
Clementi Bus Interchange is an air-conditioned bus interchange located at Clementi Town Centre, serving residential areas around Clementi and West Coast. It is the sixth air-conditioned bus interchange in Singapore, integrated within Clementi Mall and Clementi Towers, and seamlessly connected to Clementi MRT station. Nearby public amenities include the Cityvibe Mall, Clementi Polyclinic, 321 Clementi and Block 448 Market & Hawker Centre. History The interchange was first opened on 16 November 1980 by Chor Yeok Eng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Environment and Member of Parliament for Bukit Timah. It was a long covered walkway structure with queue railings and berths at the side of the road, leading many people to call it a "roadside bus terminal" resembling the interchanges built in the 1970s. Expo MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore), Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the East West MRT line, East West line (EWL) and Downtown MRT line, Downtown line (DTL) in the Tampines Planning Areas of Singapore, planning area, Singapore. The station lies between Changi City Point and the Singapore Expo, located along Changi South Avenue 1 at the junction of Expo Drive. Bedok North Bus Depot
Bedok North Bus Depot is an SBS Transit East District bus depot located in Bedok, Singapore. Bedok North Bus Depot started operations in 1982 after the completion of the stretch of road within Bedok North Industrial Park. It replaces the former Changi Bus Depot and Somapah Bus Park which were close to the residential areas and were subject to noise-related complaints. Since 11 December 2011, Service 48 terminates at Bedok North Depot with boarding and alighting done outside at the pair of bus stops. Previously, it terminated at Upper East Coast Bus Terminal. Eunos MRT Station
Eunos MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East–West line in Geylang, Singapore. Operated by SMRT Trains, the station primarily serves the Eunos subzone of Geylang as well as the Eunos Bus Interchange. Plans for the station were first outlined in May 1982, and its construction was announced in October 1983 as part of Phase II of the MRT system. The contract for the station was awarded to a joint venture between Okumura Corporation and Oh Teck Thye. During construction, the joint venture was terminated when Oh Teck Thye was put under receivership, with Okumura taking over the project. The station opened on 4 November 1989. Platform screen doors were introduced in 2011, along with high volume low speed fans in 2013. The design of the station's roof took inspiration from traditional Minangkabau architecture.
