This is a list of characters from the ''Voltron'' ''Voltron: Defender of the Universe'' Lion Force Voltron (''Golion Team'') (Original Japanese names in parentheses) * Keith Kogane (''Akira Kogane'' 黄金旭) (voiced by Neil Ross in the '80s and '90s series and Giles Panton in the 2011 series): Commanding officer of the Voltron Force, who pilots the Black Lion that forms the head, torso and upper legs of Voltron. Voltron
''Voltron'' is an animated television series franchise that features a team of space explorers who pilot a giant Super Robot known as "Voltron". Produced by Peter Keefe (Executive Producer) and Ted Koplar through his production company World Events Productions, Voltron was an adaptation of several Japanese anime television series from Toei Animation. The original television series aired in syndication from September 10, 1984, to November 18, 1985.
