Pinnacle Entertainment Group
Pinnacle Entertainment Group is a publisher of role-playing games and wargames. History Shane Lacy Hensley wanted to create a 19th-century miniatures game so he contacted the company Chameleon Eclectic to get the game published. As a result '' Fields of Honor: The American War for Independence'' (1994) was published in partnership with Chameleon Eclectic, which dealt with functions such as distribution, while ownership of the game stayed with a new company that founded by Hensley named Pinnacle Entertainment Group. The next year, Pinnacle and Chameleon Eclectic published their last joint production, the collectible card game '' The Last Crusade'' (1995). Savage Worlds
''Savage Worlds'' is a role-playing game written by Shane Lacy Hensley and published by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. The game emphasizes speed of play and reduced preparation over realism or detail. The game received the 2003 Origin Gamers' Choice Award for best role-playing game. Settings Although ''Savage Worlds'' is a generic rule system, Pinnacle has released "Savage Settings," campaign settings or modules designed specifically for the ''Savage Worlds'' rules. These have included ''Evernight'', ''50 Fathoms'', ''Necessary Evil'', ''Rippers'', and ''Low Life''. Pinnacle has also published setting books based on the company's earlier lines, including '' Deadlands: Reloaded'' as well as the ''Tour of Darkness,'' ''Necropolis,'' and ''Weird War II'' settings based on the '' Weird Wars'' line. A role-playing game (sometimes spelled roleplaying game, or abbreviated as RPG) is a game in which players assume the roles of player character, characters in a fictional Setting (narrative), setting. Miniatures Game
Miniatures games are a form of tabletop game which prominently features the use of miniature models or figures. War games One of the oldest and most popular miniatures game genres is that of war games, where figures are arranged into competing "armies", with figures that represent ranks of troops or individual combatants. Naval wargaming is a variation of play where figures represents ships and do battle on the seas. Solomon Kane
Solomon Kane is a fictional character created by the pulp-era writer Robert E. Howard. A late-16th-to-early-17th century Puritan, Solomon Kane is a somber-looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms. His adventures, published mostly in the pulp magazine ''Weird Tales'', often take him from Europe to the jungles of Africa and back. When ''Weird Tales'' published the story " Red Nails", featuring Conan the Barbarian, the editors introduced it as a tale of "a barbarian adventurer named Conan, remarkable for his sheer force of valor and brute strength. Its author, Robert E. Howard, is already a favorite with the readers of this magazine for his stories of Solomon Kane, the dour English Puritan and redresser of wrongs". Lankhmar
Lankhmar is a fictional city in the ''Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser'' stories by Fritz Leiber. It is situated on the world of Nehwon, just west of the Great Salt Marsh and east of the River Hlal, and serves as the home of Leiber's two antiheroes. Description Lankhmar is richly described as a populous and labyrinthine city rife with corruption, "the City of the Black Toga." It is decadent or squalid in roughly equal parts and said to be so shrouded by smog that the stars are rarely sighted (the city's alternate name is "the City of Sevenscore Thousand Smokes"). Located next to the Inner Sea, Lankhmar is visited by ships from across Nehwon and is the starting point for Fafhrd and the Mouser's many sea voyages. Flash Gordon
Flash Gordon is the protagonist of a space adventure comic strip created and originally drawn by Alex Raymond. First published January 7, 1934, the strip was inspired by, and created to compete with, the already established ''Buck Rogers'' adventure strip. Creation The ''Buck Rogers'' comic strip had been commercially very successful, spawning novelizations and children's toys, and King Features Syndicate decided to create its own science-fiction comic strip to compete with it. ''Weird Wars'' is a series of horror role-playing games set during past and future wars and published by Pinnacle Entertainment Group. The original release, '' Weird War II: Blood on the Rhine'' was set during World War II, and utilized the D20 System. The second release, ''Tour of Darkness'' was set during the Vietnam War and employed the ''Savage Worlds'' rules set. A third release, also for ''Savage Worlds'', ''Necropolis'' was set in the future on a war-torn planet. Deadlands
''Deadlands'' is a genre-mixing alternate history role-playing game which combines the Western and horror genres, with some steampunk elements.
