Many countries around the world maintain military units that are specifically trained to cope with CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) threats. CBRN
Chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense (CBRN defense) or Nuclear, biological, and chemical protection (NBC protection) is a class of protective measures taken in situations where chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (including terrorism) hazards may be present. CBRN defense consists of CBRN passive protection, contamination avoidance, and weapons of mass destruction mitigation. A CBRN incident differs from a hazardous material incident in both scope and intent. CBRN incidents are responded to under the assumption that they are intentional and malicious; evidence preservation and perpetrator apprehension are of greater concern than with Hazmat team incidents. A 2011 forecast concluded that worldwide government spending on CBRN defense products and services would reach US$8.38 billion that year. 73rd Group Army
The 73rd Group Army is a formation of China's People's Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF) subordinated to the Eastern Theater Command (ETC). The ETC's area of responsibility includes Taiwan, and the 73rd Group Army includes amphibious forces. The 73rd Group Army was known as the 31st Group Army until April 2017. The group army was considered an elite unit. History Chinese Civil War The 31st Group Army traces its lineage to the Shantung Column of the Shantung Military Region which was formed around 1941. By 1945 the column had been reorganized and redesignated into several military districts, including the Chiao-Tung Military District. Xinjiang Military Region
The Xinjiang Military District (新疆军区) is a special military area of the PLA at the Theater Deputy-grade.(副战区级). It is one of three districts (Tibet and Beijing being the other two) that are directly under the Central Military Commission and its Joint Army Staff rather than under their Theater Command (in this case, the Western Theater Command.) The district includes all of Xinjiang, plus the Ngari district of Tibet. It has also direct military jurisdiction over the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC).
