The Doom Patrol is a team of comic book superheroes, as published by DC Comics. The roster of the team has changed a great deal over the years. These roster lists are of the members during the Patrol's various incarnations by team iteration. The codenames listed under Character are those used during the time frame of the particular iteration. Doom Patrol
Doom Patrol is a superhero team from DC Comics. The original Doom Patrol first appeared in ''My Greatest Adventure'' #80 (June 1963), and was created by writers Arnold Drake and Bob Haney, along with artist Bruno Premiani. Doom Patrol has appeared in different incarnations in multiple comics, and have been adapted to other media. The series' creator has suspected that Marvel Comics copied the basic concept to create the X-Men, which debuted a few months later. Doom Patrol are a group of super-powered misfits whose "gifts" caused them alienation and trauma. Dubbed the "world's strangest heroes" by editor Murray Boltinoff, the original team included the Chief (comics), Chief (Niles Caulder), Robotman (Cliff Steele), Robotman (Cliff Steele), Elasti-Girl (Rita Farr), and Negative Man (Larry Trainor); Beast Boy (Garfield Logan) and Mento (comics), Mento (Steve Dayton) joined soon after. Rachel Pollack
Rachel Grace Pollack (August 17, 1945 – April 6, 2023) was an American science fiction author, comic book writer, and expert on divinatory tarot. Early life and education Pollack was born on August 17, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York to a Jewish family. She earned an honours degree in English from New York University and a master's in English from Claremont Graduate University. Career Tarot reading Pollack wrote the 1985 book '' Salvador Dali's Tarot'', an exposition of Salvador Dalí's Tarot deck, comprising a full-page color plate for each card, with her commentary on the facing page. Her work ''78 Degrees of Wisdom'' on Tarot reading is commonly referenced by Tarot readers. She created her own Tarot deck, ''Shining Woman Tarot'' (later ''Shining Tribe Tarot''). She also aided in the creation of the Vertigo Tarot Deck with illustrator Dave McKean and author Neil Gaiman, and she wrote a book to accompany it. John Arcudi
John Arcudi is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on '' The Mask'' and '' B.P.R.D.'' and his series '' Major Bummer''. Early life Arcudi grew up in Buffalo, New York. He attended Columbia University as an English major and developed an appreciation for the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs and William Faulkner. Career Arcudi worked for Malibu Comics upon its founding in 1986, working on its Eternity line. That same year he started writing for comics, making his first sales to '' Savage Tales'' and '' Savage Sword of Conan'' for Marvel Comics, and becoming a regular contributor to the humor magazine '' Cracked''. Coagula (Kate Godwin) is a character from DC Comics' ''Doom Patrol'' series, the first transgender superhero by the publisher. Created by Rachel Pollack in response to other poorly written trans comic characters, the transgender sexuality, lesbian Coagula obtained her powers—to coagulate and dissolve material—from having sex with Doom Patrol member, Negative Man#Rebis, Rebis. Dorothy Spinner is a fictional character created by Paul Kupperberg, appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. She was a former member of the Doom Patrol with the ability to bring imaginary beings to life.
