Ultimates
The Ultimates is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and created by writer Mark Millar and artist Bryan Hitch, which first started publication from ''The Ultimates (comic book), The Ultimates'' #1 (cover date March 2002), as part of the company's Ultimate Marvel imprint. The series is a modernized re-imagining of Marvel's long-running Avengers (comics), Avengers comic-book franchise, centering around a task-force of super-humans and special agents organized by the U.S. government to combat growing threats to the world. The tale chronicles their progress as they bond and slowly learn to work together, despite their differing natures and personalities. Ka-Zar (Kevin Plunder)
Kevin Reginald Plunder, also known as Ka-Zar, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in '' The X-Men'' #10 (March 1965). Kevin Plunder is the second character to use the codename Ka-Zar. Publication history The second Ka-Zar started as a character similar to the first Ka-Zar, but also reminiscent of both Tarzan and of writer-artist Joe Kubert's 1950s caveman character, Tor. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in '' The X-Men'' #10 (March 1965), he lives in the dinosaur-populated Savage Land, which was hidden in Antarctica by extraterrestrials. The Sentry (Robert "Bob" Reynolds) and The Void are respectively a superhero and supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Paul Jenkins (writer), Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, with uncredited conceptual contributions by Rick Veitch, the characters first appeared in ''The Sentry'' #1 (2000). Robert "Bob" Reynolds / Sentry and the Void appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film ''Thunderbolts*'' (2025), portrayed by Lewis Pullman. The Thing (Benjamin Jacob "Ben" Grimm) is a fictional superhero character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a founding member of the Fantastic Four. The Thing was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, and he first appeared in ''Fantastic Four (comic book), The Fantastic Four'' #1 (cover-dated Nov. 1961). Known for his trademark rocky appearance, he has superhuman strength, a sense of humor, and the battle cry and catchphrase "It's clobberin' time!" Thing's speech patterns are loosely based on Jimmy Durante. The Human Torch (Jonathan Lowell Spencer "Johnny" Storm) is a fictional superhero character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
