Super middleweight, or light cruiserweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing In professional boxing, super middleweight is contested between the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions, in which boxers can weigh between 160 pounds (73 kg) and . Alejandro Berrio
Alejandro Berrio Hernández (born August 7, 1976) is a Colombian professional boxer. Professional career Known as "Ñaco", Berrio turned pro in 1997 and won the Vacant IBF Super Middleweight Title with a TKO win over Robert Stieglitz in Rostock, Germany. Berrio sent Stieglitz to the canvas twice with right hands, with the referee stopping the fight with 23 seconds left in the third. It was a rematch between the two fighters, with Stieglitz winning the first bout in late 2005 via TKO. He lost his title against Lucian Bute in Montreal on 2007-10-19 by TKO on the 11th round. Thulani Malinga (born 11 December 1955) is a South African former professional boxer who competed from 1981 to 2000, and held the WBC super-middleweight title twice between 1996 and 1998. Professional career Known as "Sugar Boy", Malinga turned pro in 1981 after compiling an amateur record of 185–10. He began his career with a first-round stoppage of Victor Zulu on 8 August 1981. Malinga held several championship titles during a twenty-year career as a middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight, fighting memorable bouts against Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank and Roy Jones Jr., among others. Nigel Gregory Benn (born 22 January 1964), is a former British professional boxer who competed from 1987 to 1996. A two-weight world champion, he held the WBO middleweight title in 1990 and reigned as the WBC super-middleweight champion from 1992 to 1996. Ray Charles Leonard (born May 17, 1956), best known as Sugar Ray Leonard, is an American former professional boxer. William Scull
William Scull (1739-1784) was an American cartographer and officer during the Revolutionary War. Scull was the grandson of Nicholas Scull, who was the colonial Surveyor General of Pennsylvania. In 1770, he published a map of Pennsylvania with Robert Sayer and John Bennett and engraved by Henry Dawkins and James Nevil in Philadelphia. It was republished in many editions in France and England, although it is considered a compilation of the work of other cartographers. He was commissioned an officer with the rank of captain in the 11th Pennsylvania Regiment. Caleb Hunter Plant (born July 8, 1992) is an American professional boxer who has held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) super middleweight title from 2019 to 2021 and the World Boxing Association (WBA) interim super middleweight title from 2024 to 2025. Caleb Truax (born September 14, 1983) is an American professional boxer. He held the IBF super middleweight title from 2017 to 2018, and challenged for the title in 2021. He also challenged once for the WBA (Regular) middleweight title in 2015. Personal life Truax is a native of Osseo, Minnesota. He has a twin sister, Erin Truax, and a younger brother, Seth Martinez.
