List Of Spanish Football Champions
The Spanish football champions are the winners of the primary football competition in Spain, La Liga. The league is contested on a Round-robin tournament, round robin basis and the championship awarded to the team that is top of the league at the end of the season. La Liga, first established in 1929, originally contained ten teams. Before La Liga's organisation, the Copa del Rey—a regionalised cup competition—was effectively the national championship. La Liga is contested by 20 teams; the three lowest-placed teams are relegated to the Segunda División and replaced by the top three teams in that division. Of the founding teams in La Liga, only Athletic Bilbao, FC Barcelona, Barcelona and Real Madrid CF, Real Madrid have not been relegated. 1931–32 La Liga season started November 22, 1931, and finished April 3, 1932. As the Spanish Second Republic was established preceding the season, all the applicable clubs dropped the Royal patronage from their names and remove the crowns from their crests. Bata (footballer)
Agustín Sauto Arana (11 May 1908 – 21 August 1986), known as Bata, was a Spanish footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his career with Athletic Bilbao, scoring 208 goals in as many matches across all competitions and winning four La Liga championships. He is the only player to have scored 7 goals against Barcelona in a single match. The goals were scored during the 1930/1931 Laliga season in which Bilbao crushed the Catalans 12-1. Club career Born in Barakaldo, Biscay, Bata started his career at hometown club Barakaldo CF. Arenas Club de Getxo is a Spanish football club based in the town of Getxo, near Bilbao, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1909, it currently plays in , holding home games at Campo Municipal de Gobela, with a 2,000-seat capacity. They were winners of the 1919 Copa del Rey, beating FC Barcelona 5–2. 1929 La Liga
The 1929 Primera División season was the inaugural season of the Primera División. It started on 10 February 1929 and finished on 23 June 1929. A total of 10 teams participated in the league. After the failure to create a national league in 1928, that ended with the teams split into two unconcluded leagues, an agreement with the Royal Spanish Football Federation was finally reached for the creation of a national league.
