Royal Family Kids' Camps
Royal Family Kids' Camps, Inc. (RFKC) is a network of camps, children's clubs, and child mentoring for abused, abandoned, and neglected children in the foster care system. RFK was founded in 1985 by Wayne and Diane Tesch. This ministry offers training and resources for local churches to sponsor a five-day summer camp for the children in foster care, ages 6 – 12. In addition to the structured schedule, the summer camp maintains a ratio of one volunteer counselor for every two children. Including all volunteers in addition to counselors, there are more adults at the camps than children. Adult role models encourage positive experiences through a plethora of activities, including swimming, fishing, boating, jewelry-making, and woodworking. The highlight of the summer camp is the giant birthday party with cake and gifts for all campers. Toastmasters International
Toastmasters International (TI) is a US-headquartered nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping people develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. History On 24 March 1905, Dr. Ralph C. Smedley, a 1903 graduate from Illinois Wesleyan University, who was also the educational director for Bloomington YMCA in Illinois, started a club in a dinner meeting, to train young boys and men in speech, to face an audience, and to express their thoughts. He envisioned it as a weekly social club, with training programs for short speeches, debates, and work in chairmanship. The members took turn to speak in 5 to 6 minutes while the elder men served as speech evaluators. George Sutton, General Secretary of YMCA, named the club "a Toastmasters Club". YWCA
The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) is a nonprofit organization with a focus on empowerment, leadership, and rights of women, young women, and girls in more than 100 countries. The World office is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland, and the nonprofit is headquartered in Washington, DC. American Bowling Congress
The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) is a sports membership organization dedicated to ten-pin bowling in the United States of America, United States. It was formed in 2005 by a merger of the American Bowling Congress—the original codifier of all tenpin bowling standards, rules, and regulations from 1895 onwards; the Women's International Bowling Congress—founded in 1916, as the female bowlers' counterpart to the then all-male ABC; the Young American Bowling Alliance; and USA Bowling. The USBC's headquarters are located in Arlington, Texas, after having moved from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Milwaukee suburb of Greendale, Wisconsin, in November 2008. American Camp Association
The American Camp Association (ACA), formerly known as the American Camping Association, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves the United States. It is an association for camp owners, camp professionals and others interested in summer camps and similar camp programs. Since 1948, the ACA has offered the only nationwide external professional peer-review accreditation program for camps. According to ACA, to become accredited, camps must meet up to 300 health and safety standards, which are considered best practices throughout the industry.
