Knowledge Network
Knowledge Network, also branded as British Columbia's Knowledge Network, is a Canadian publicly funded educational cable television network serving the province of British Columbia. It is owned by the Knowledge Network Corporation, a Crown corporation of the Government of British Columbia, and began broadcasting on January 12, 1981. Sarah MacDonald and Jeffrey Lee are the current Interim President & CEO respectively. A national search is currently underway for new leadership. Knowledge Network's broadcast licence is for satellite-to-cable programming. The network is available on the Bell Satellite TV satellite service, on channel 268, on Shaw Direct channel 354, and on TELUS Optik TV channel 117. It has also been broadcast over-the-air in remote locations throughout British Columbia, with these repeater sites being operated by local volunteers in the few areas of the province where cable television is not available. ''The Missing'' is a British anthology series, anthology television drama series, drama television series written by brothers Harry and Jack Williams. It was first broadcast in the UK on BBC One on 28 October 2014, and in the United States on Starz on 15 November 2014. ''The Missing'' is an international co-production between the BBC and Starz. The first eight-part series, about the search for a missing boy in France, was directed by Tom Shankland. It stars Tchéky Karyo as Julien Baptiste, the French detective who leads the case, with James Nesbitt and Frances O'Connor as the boy's parents. The second eight-part series, about a missing girl in Germany, was directed by Ben Chanan. It was broadcast in the UK, on BBC One, from 12 October 2016 and in the United States, on Starz, on 12 February 2017. ''All-Round Champion'' is a Canadian children's television series, which premiered in 2020. Hosted by Perdita Felicien, the series features several high-achieving teen athletes from both Canada and the United States, placing them in a competition scenario where they must train and compete in sports other than their own primary discipline, with the best-performing athlete crowned as the winner at the end of the season.
