The film was premièred on 25 May 1934 in Buenos Aires. It is a tango film, based on an integral part of Argentine culture. Overview The plot is divided into two time-periods: 1840 to 1852 and 1914 to 1934. The first part of history passes during the government of Juan Manuel de Rosas and refers to the history of love of a woman and a young Unitarian, who is ruined when she is forced to marry a rich federàle. A daughter was born, a product of that disastrous marriage. The woman died in 1852, convinced of the love that she professed to him, the one who fought next to Urquiza in the battle of Caseros. Enrique Telémaco Susini (January 31, 1891 – July 4, 1972) was an Argentine entrepreneur and Mass media, media pioneer. In 1920, Susini led the effort for the first radio Broadcasting, broadcast in Argentina, and subsequently established one of the earliest regular radio stations in the world. During the 1920s and 1930s, he became a successful entrepreneur in the nascent radio and film industry. Besides his business interests, Susini was an accomplished artist. He worked as director for theaters in Argentina and Italy and directed several movies produced by Lumiton, which he owned. Early life Enrique T. Susini was born in Buenos Aires as son of Dr. Telémaco Susini, professor of pathological anatomy at the University of Buenos Aires and the country's first otolaryngologist. Lumiton
Lumiton is a former film production company and current museum located in Munro, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lumiton Studios was founded in 1932 at the start of the golden age of film in that country. Its lowbrow, populist films appealed to local audiences and were highly successful in Argentina and throughout Latin America. It was the main competitor to Argentina Sono Film in the 1940s. After World War II (1939–45) Lumiton faced increased government regulation, rising costs and loss of audiences to more sophisticated Hollywood productions. The company was forced to shut down in 1952. History Beginning Lumiton was founded in the town of Munro, Buenos Aires, with an initial capital of 300,000 pesos.
