Lison Station
Lison station ( French: ''Gare de Lison'') is a railway station serving the town of Lison, Calvados department, northwestern France. It is situated at the junction of the Mantes-la-Jolie–Cherbourg railway and the Lison–Lamballe railway. The station is served by regional trains to Cherbourg, Caen, Paris and Granville. Several bus routes also serve this station to connect passengers to nearby towns such as Bayeux, Carentan and Le Molay-Littry. The station has ticket machines for customers to buy tickets before their journey as well as an automated car parking system for those travelling by car. The station building has been designed in the traditional French style with arched windows and stone walls which give it an attractive look from the outside. Inside there are several shops and cafes offering refreshments for passengers on their journeys. Granville (; Norman: ''Graunville'') is a commune in the Manche department and region of Normandy, northwestern France. The Gare Saint-Lazare (; ), officially Paris Saint Lazare, is one of the seven large mainline List of Paris railway stations, railway station terminals in Paris, France. Cherbourg Station
Gare de Cherbourg is the railway station of the city of Cherbourg, Normandy, France. It is the western terminus of the Mantes-la-Jolie–Cherbourg railway. History On 5 September 1850, the president Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte visited Cherbourg and demanded the continuation of work on the Arsenal. He also demanded the construction of a railway line linking Cherbourg to Paris. The construction of the line was approved in 1852. The station was opened on 4 August 1858 by Napoleon III who arrived on the imperial train from Paris. At the time of opening, the trip to Paris took ten hours and cost 22.85 FrF for a third class ticket and 41.55 FrF for a first class ticket. Queen Victoria visited the city and its station the same day and took part in the grandiose celebrations. Le Molay-Littry
Le Molay-Littry () is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. History On 23 January 1969 Le Molay merged with the old commune of Littry to form ''Le Molay-Littry''. Le Molay-Littry has good travel links with neighbouring towns such as Isigny, Bayeux, Saint-Lô, and Balleroy, which served it well in the early 17th century. At that time, the town was a local source of coal which made the town a wealthy one. The town still has a mining museum which is open to the public. Carentan
Carentan () is a small rural town near the north-eastern base of the French Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy in north-western France, with a population of about 6,000. It is a former commune in the Manche department. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Carentan-les-Marais.
