Lisa Campos
Lisa Campos is the current director of athletics for the University of Texas at San Antonio. She previously served as athletic director for Northern Arizona University from 2012 to 2017, and as an associate athletic director at the University of Texas at El Paso from 2003 to 2012. Campos graduated from Colorado State University with both bachelor's and master's degrees. She graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a doctorate degree. Campos was named athletic director at the University of Texas at San Antonio on November 16, 2017. An athletic director (commonly "athletics director" or "AD") is an administrator at many American clubs or institutions, such as colleges and university, universities, as well as in larger high schools and middle schools, who oversees the work of coach (sports), coaches and related staff involved in athletic programs. Although technically in charge of all of the coaches, they are often far less well-compensated and also less famous, with few having their own television and radio programs as many coaches now do. The UTSA Roadrunners is a collegiate athletic program that represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). The UTSA Roadrunners are also commonly referred to as "UTSA", "Roadrunners", "Runners", “The Meep Meeps”, or simply “The Birds”, and are represented by the mascot Rowdy. The origin of Rowdy dates back to 1977, when the Roadrunner was chosen as the university's mascot by student election.
