Lionel Sams
Lionel Jeffrey Sams (born 20 January 1961) is an English former darts player who played in events of the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). His nickname was The Lion. Sams' first televised darts match was on Anglia Television in 1986 at the Ladbrokes Festival (British Matchplay). He reached the final, but lost to Terry O'Dea. He then had some minor tournament victories including the Camber Sands Singles (1988) and Kent Open (1988 and 1989) but it was a long time before he made any impact on the darts circuit. Lional won the over 60s British Table Tennis Title in December 2024 and 1st price of £12,000 as well as his first snooker century break in June 2024. Paddington
Paddington is an area in the City of Westminster, in central London, England. A medieval parish then a metropolitan borough of the County of London, it was integrated with Westminster and Greater London in 1965. Ronnie Baxter
Ronnie Baxter (born 5 February 1961) is an English former professional darts player who competed in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He used the nickname "The Rocket" for his matches. Baxter was known for his fast robotic throwing action. He currently resides in his hometown Blackpool. Baxter is widely regarded as one of the best players never to have won a major TV title. He is still active on the exhibition circuit. BDO Baxter played on the North American circuit during the 1980s and when he participated in the British Darts Organisation he had a consistent record for reaching the final stages of their Open events. John Kuczynski (born October 16, 1973) is an American former professional darts player. He used the nickname Johnny K for his matches. Career For five years running – 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 – he was ranked number one according to American Darts Organisation's (ADO) points standings. He played at the 2005 BDO World Darts Championship, losing in the first round to former world champion Ted Hankey. He was the ADO's 2006 National cricket champion. Dennis Priestley
Dennis Priestley (born 16 July 1950) is an English former professional darts player. He won two world championships, and was the first player to win both the BDO and WDC (now PDC) world championships, in 1991 and 1994 respectively. He was nicknamed "The Menace", after the ''Beano'' character Dennis the Menace, and reflected this by wearing red and black and using red and black flights. The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Darts World Rankings
The Darts World Rankings are systems designed to determine a list of the best darts players in the world based on their performances in past tournaments. In 1993, a group of former world champions and other high-profile players separated from the British Darts Organisation, meaning there were several major governing bodies in the sport. Each organization has its own players, and each has its own ranking system. After the British Darts Organisation folded in 2020, the two main rankings are now maintained by the World Darts Federation and the Professional Darts Corporation.
