''Lion Jagapathi Rao'' is a 1991 Indian Kannada-language drama film, directed by Om Sai Prakash and written by Sainath Thotapalli, starring Vishnuvardhan in dual roles, along with Lakshmi and Bhavya. The film was produced by Sri Vinayaka Combines. The film was critically acclaimed upon release and won laurels at the Karnataka State Film Awards. The lead actor Vishnuvardhan was adjudged the Best Actor for the year 1991. Vishnuvardhan himself was one of the screenplay writers for the movie. Enreddy Prakash Reddy a.k.a. Om Sai Prakash is a Kannada and Telugu film director and producer. Career Born in Phirangipuram in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, he left Phirangipuram to Chennai with the aim of becoming a film director. He started as an assistant to Kodi Ramakrishna and then charted his own course in direction. He has a trademark of directing films with sentimental and devotional themes. Venkataraju known by his professional name Rajanand (1927-2004), was an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. Mukhyamantri Chandru
Honnasandra Narasimhaiah Chandrashekar (born 28 August 1953), known popularly as Mukhyamantri Chandru, is an Indian actor and politician. As an actor, he is known for his work in Kannada theatre and cinema. The sobriquet ''Mukhyamantri'' (Chief Minister) stuck to his name after the play of the same name that sees him portray the title role became widely popular. Having portrayed mostly comic and negative roles throughout his career, Chandru is a character actor, and has acted in over 500 films since making his debut in 1983. Sainath Thotapalli (born 27 April 1956) is a well-known writer from the Telugu film industry (also known as Tollywood) and has written for 98 Telugu movies so far including Sitara, Swathimutyam, Swarnakamalam, Swayamkrushi, Sirivennela, Prema, Challenge, Marana Mrudangam, Pavitra Prema and Rakhi among others.
