Linguswamy
Nammalvar Lingusamy, (born 14 November 1967), is an Indian film director, film producer and screenwriter who works predominantly in Tamil cinema. He made his directorial debut with ''Aanandham'' (2001). He went on to direct '' Run'' (2002), '' Sandakozhi'' (2005), '' Paiyaa'' (2010) and ''Vettai'' (2012). He and his brother N. Subash Chandrabose have also produced films through his production company, Thirupathi Brothers. Early life Lingusamy born on 14 November 1967 and hails from a town Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. He worked as an assistant director to A. Venkatesh and Vikraman. Vettai
''Vettai'' () is a 2012 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language action comedy film co-produced, written and directed by N. Linguswamy. The film stars Arya (actor), Arya and R. Madhavan in the lead roles, while Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul, Ashutosh Rana, Nassar (actor), Nassar and Thambi Ramaiah appear in supporting roles. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and cinematography and editing handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony (film editor), Anthony. The film was announced shortly after the release of Lingusamy's ''Paiyaa'', with Dhayanidhi Alagiri, Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies agreeing to produce the film, following a successful collaboration during the director's previous film. Run (2002 Film)
''Run'' is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by N. Linguswamy and produced by A. M. Rathnam under Sri Surya Movies. It stars Madhavan and Meera Jasmine (in her Tamil debut), alongside Vivek, Atul Kulkarni, Raghuvaran and Anu Hasan. The music was composed by Vidyasagar, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Jeeva and V. T. Vijayan. ''Run'' was released on 5 September 2002 to positive reviews from critics, which prompted the film to be partially reshot in Telugu with Sunil playing Vivek's role. It was remade in Hindi under the same name by Jeeva, with Abhishek Bachchan and Bhumika Chawla reprising the roles of Madhavan and Meera Jasmine. ''Sandakozhi'' () is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by N. Linguswamy and produced by Vikram Krishna under G K Film Corporation. The film stars Vishal, Meera Jasmine, Rajkiran, and Lal, while Raja, Suman Setty and Ganja Karuppu play supporting roles. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Jeeva- Nirav Shah and G. Sasikumar respectively. ''Sandakozhi'' was released on 16 December 2005 and became a major success, running for over 210 days in theatres and achieving cult status. The Telugu dubbed version titled ''Pandem Kodi'' released on 19 May 2006 and was also commercially successful. The film was remade in Kannada as '' Vayuputra''. ''Bheemaa'' is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language crime action film written and directed by N. Linguswamy, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. It stars Vikram, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Raghuvaran, and Ashish Vidyarthi. The film score and soundtrack was composed by Harris Jayaraj; whilst the cinematography was handled R. D. Rajasekhar, and edited by Anthony. After two years of production delays, the film was released on 15 January 2008, to mixed reviews. Plot The movie revolves around two powerful gangs in Chennai, one led by Chinna and the other by Periyavar. Choudary. Thirrupathi Brothers is an Indian Tamil film production company owned by brothers N. Subash Chandrabose and N. Lingusamy and was founded in 2006. History The first venture of Thirrupathi Brothers was ''Deepavali'', directed by Ezhil with Jayam Ravi and Bhavana in lead roles. It was a moderate success.
