The Purple Line () or Line 6, also known as Violet Line, is one of the six lines in the Riyadh Metro network in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It runs in a half-ring from King Abdullah Financial District, passing Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, and ending at Prince Saad Ibn Abdulrahman Al Awal Road. It will be mostly elevated except along Sheikh Hassan Bin Hussein Bin Ali Street. The line has 11 stations with 3 interchange stations. The Riyadh Metro ( ar, قطار الرياض ', ) is a rapid transit system under construction in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. It is part of the King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport and will consist of six metro lines spanning a total length of 176 kilometers, with 85 stations. The project will cost $22.5 billion to build. It is expected to open to passengers in 2023.
