Lindeman (characters)
Lindeman is the surname of a large family of fictional characters portrayed by Swedish comedian Hans Alfredson in improvised monologues. Alfredson performed as Lindeman in the revues '' Gröna hund'' (1962), '' Gula hund'' (1964), '' Lådan'' (1966-1967) and '' Under dubbelgöken'' (1979). Every evening when the revues were played, an interviewer played by Lasse O'Månsson or Tage Danielsson would mention a topic from that day's newspaper and introduce a character called Lindeman. Alfredson would then improvise over the given topic. Alfredson got the idea for the Lindeman sketches when he visited New York City together with Povel Ramel, and went to a so-called "instant theater" in Greenwich Village Greenwich Village, or simply the Village, is a neighborhood on the west side of Lower Manhattan in New York City, bounded by 14th Street (Manhattan), 14th Street to the north, Broadway (Manhattan), Broadway to the east, Houston Street to the s .... This might be through jokes or amusing situations, or acting foolishly (as in slapstick), or employing prop comedy. A comedian who addresses an audience directly is called a stand-up comedy, stand-up comedian. Since the 1980s, a new wave of comedy, called alternative comedy, has grown in popularity with its more offbeat and experimental style. This normally involves more experiential, or observational reporting (e.g., Alexei Sayle, Daniel Tosh, Malcolm Hardee). As far as content is concerned, comedians such as Tommy Tiernan, Des Bishop, Kevin Hart, and Dawn French draw on their background to po ... Hans Alfredson
Hans Folke "Hasse" Alfredson (28 June 1931 – 10 September 2017) was a Swedish actor, film director, writer, and comedian. Born in Malmö, Sweden, he is known for his collaboration with Tage Danielsson as the duo Hasse & Tage and their production company AB Svenska Ord ("Swedish Words Ltd"). His most celebrated contribution to their brand of ''humorist humanism'' was his ability to extemporize wildly absurd comic situations, for example in the Lindeman dialogues. Towards the end of his life, Alfredson made it clear that he preferred his real name, Hans, over the commonly used nickname "Hasse". He was the father of directors Daniel and Tomas Alfredson. Career Through his collaboration with Danielsson, with whom he produced several revue shows and films, Alfredson became one of Sweden's best-known comedians and a major, enduringly popular celebrity. Already in 1970, however, he performed a less sympathetic role in '' Grisjakten''. Later in his life, Alfredson would more ...
