Linda Zingerle
Linda Zingerle (born 14 September 2002) is an Italian biathlete. She made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup in 2021. She is a two-time Youth Olympic Games medalist, a seven-time medalist at the Junior and Youth World Championships, and a two-time medalist at the senior European Biathlon Championships. Career Linda Zingerle competed in her first international races in December 2019 in Martell in the IBU Junior Cup. During the season, she participated in the Youth World Championships in Lenzerheide, where she convincingly won the gold medal in the sprint. She also secured bronze in the pursuit and silver in the relay alongside Hannah Auchentaller and Rebecca Passler. The Youth Olympic Games were also successful for her; although she did not achieve a top-10 finish in the individual events, she won a gold and a silver medal in the mixed and single mixed relays. Lenzerheide
Lenzerheide ( Romansh: ''Lai'') is a mountain resort in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland at the foot of the Parpaner Rothorn. The village lies in the municipality Vaz/Obervaz in the district of Albula, sub-district Alvaschein. The village lies in a broadened section of the valley between the cantonal capital Chur to the north and Tiefencastel, beyond which are the Julier Pass and St Moritz. Idre
Idre is a locality and ski resort situated in Älvdalen Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden with 794 inhabitants in 2010. It was also a historical parish and former municipality. History The two parishes ''Särna'' and ''Idre'' were originally part of Norway but were occupied by an expedition of Swedish peasants from Älvdalen in 1644. Pokljuka
The Pokljuka Plateau () is a forested karst plateau at an elevation of around , located in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The plateau is known for its forests, pasture, mountain pastures (Javornik, Lipanca, Uskovnica, Zajamniki, etc.), and winter sports facilities. Ruhpolding is the municipality with the biggest area of the Traunstein (district), Traunstein district in southeastern Bavaria, Germany. 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup
The 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 27 November 2021 in Östersund, Sweden and ended on 20 March 2022 in Oslo Holmenkollen, Norway. Norwegians Johannes Thingnes Bø and Tiril Eckhoff were the defending overall champions from the 2020–21 season. For the first time in the history of the Biathlon World Cup, the competition will be held in Estonia, specifically in Otepää. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian and Belarusian biathletes are only allowed to compete under a neutral flag since the competition in Kontiolahti. Their performances are not included in the previous classifications of their countries. Iryna Petrenko
Iryna Petrenko, née Iryna Varvynets (Ukrainian: Ірина Варвинець; born 4 July 1992, in Mokhnatyn, Chernihiv Oblast, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian biathlete. She is World Championships medalist. She participated at 2018 Winter Olympics. Career Her first international competition was 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore, Canada. Her best achievement was just 27th in sprint. Next year she also competed only at junior-level competitions. For the first time, she participated in IBU Cup race in season 2010-11. She was 16th and 17th in sprints in Beitostolen, Norway. Later Varvynets had good results in Junior Worlds and Europeans, where she had 4 Top-10 finishes in 6 races and won a silver medal in relay. Sjusjøen
Sjusjøen is a cross country skiing destination in the municipality of Ringsaker in Innlandet county, Norway. Situated on the mountain plateau south of Sjusjøen is Hedmarksvidda. The area is located with forest and mountain terrain about above sea level. This area is located about east of the town of Lillehammer. The area is the site of many holiday cottages, a hotel, and a youth hostel for accommodation. Obertilliach is a municipality in the district of Lienz District, Lienz, in the Austria, Austrian state of Tyrol (state), Tyrol. IBU Cup
The IBU Cup in biathlon has been held since the winter seasons of 1982–83 and 1988–89, for women and men, respectively. Until the 2007–08 season this competition was called Biathlon European Cup. It is the second-rank competition in biathlon after the Biathlon World Cup. The IBU Cup season lasts from November/December to March, with contests in a different venue almost every week.
