Lincoln Square, Manhattan
Lincoln Square is the name of both a square and the surrounding neighborhood on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. Lincoln Square is centered on the intersection of Broadway and Columbus Avenue, between West 65th and 66th streets. The neighborhood is bounded by Columbus and Amsterdam avenues to the east and west, and 66th and 63rd streets to the north and south, respectively. However, the term can be extended to refer to the neighborhood between 59th and 72nd streets. It is bounded by Hell's Kitchen, Riverside South, Central Park, and the Upper West Side proper. The Walt Disney Company’s New York City campus was located here, including ABC News, ESPN, Hulu, and studios for WABC-TV. Lincoln Square Synagogue
The Lincoln Square Synagogue is a Modern Orthodox congregation and synagogue located at 180 Amsterdam Avenue between West 68th and 69th Streets in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Founded in 1964, the synagogue has moved several times; the most recent move occurred in January 2013. The 2013 building is the largest synagogue built in New York City in over 50 years. The current senior rabbi is Rabbi Shaul Robinson. History The Lincoln Square Synagogue was founded as a congregation in 1964 by Rabbi Shlomo Riskin. In the late 1960s, the first Orthodox Jewish women's tefillah group was created, on the holiday of Simhat Torah at Lincoln Square Synagogue. Lincoln Square is a mixed-use urban development in Bellevue, Washington, owned by prominent local developer Kemper Freeman. Lincoln Square, located along Bellevue Way between NE 6th and NE 8th streets, consists of two skyscrapers with retail and restaurant space, and a movie theater; and a 148-room residential tower and 337-room luxury hotel ( One Lincoln Tower); and underground parking. The development constitutes part of "The Bellevue Collection", which consists of Freeman's properties in downtown Bellevue alongside Bellevue Place and Bellevue Square. Lincoln Square on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois, is one of the city's 77 Community areas of Chicago, community areas. It encompasses the smaller neighborhoods of Ravenswood, Ravenswood Gardens, Bowmanville, Budlong Woods, as well as Lincoln Square itself. Albert Square is a public square in the centre of Manchester, England. It is dominated by its largest building, the Grade I listed Manchester Town Hall, a Victorian Gothic building by Alfred Waterhouse. Other smaller buildings from the same period surround it, many of which are listed (the buildings on the north side are in Princess Street). The square contains a number of monuments and statues, the largest of which is the Albert Memorial, a monument to Prince Albert, Prince Consort of Queen Victoria.
