Lincoln City L.F.C.
Notts County Ladies Football Club was a women's football club based in Nottingham, England. They played their home games at Meadow Lane. Notts County Ladies were created in 2014 when Lincoln Ladies were relocated from Lincoln to Nottingham and rebranded. The club were originally formed in Lincoln in 1995 and also spent a period known as Lincoln City Ladies while affiliated to Lincoln City. Sincil Bank and other smaller venues staged the club's matches during their time in Lincoln. The club was named OOH Lincoln Ladies from 2008 until 2010, due to sponsorship from Ray Trew's OOH Media PLC. The club withdrew from the FA WSL 1, the top tier in the English women's football league system, two days before the start of the FA WSL Spring Series on 21 April 2017. Meadow Lane
Meadow Lane is a football (soccer), football stadium in Nottingham, England. It is the home ground of Notts County F.C., Notts County, who have played there since it opened in 1910. The stadium was also home to Notts County Ladies F.C. from 2014 to 2017. It currently has an all-seated capacity of 19,841 for EFL games, although its maximum capacity is 20,229. The record attendance is 47,310, who watched Notts lose 1–0 to York City F.C., York City in the FA Cup Sixth Round on 12 March 1955. Kay Joyce Hawke (born 28 March 1983) is an English footballer, who most recently played as a goalkeeper for Lincoln Ladies in the FA WSL. During her career she has played for Blackburn Rovers, Lincoln Ladies and Ventura County Fusion in California, USA. She has played for England at Under 21, Under 23 and full senior international level in her career. Club career Hawke joined Lincoln from Blackburn Rovers Ladies in the summer of 2007. She had joined Blackburn in 2005 and won her first league championship ( Northern Premier) that season. In a September 2009 Premier League Cup match against Birmingham City, Hawke scored with an enormous clearance but was then controversially sent-off for handling outside her area. Susan Jane Smith (born 24 November 1979) is a former English international footballer who last played for Doncaster Rovers Belles and England as a winger. Club career Smith played for Tranmere Rovers since she was a teenager, but after years of fielding several offers from top clubs around the country, she signed on for Leeds United (known as Leeds Carnegie from 2008 until 2010) in the summer of 2002. Following the failure of Leeds' bid to join the FA WSL, Smith signed for Lincoln Ladies in August 2010.
