"Limousine" is a song by German synthpop band Hubert Kah, released in 1986 as the lead single from their fourth studio album '' Tensongs''. The song was written by Hubert Kemmler, Markus Löhr, and Klaus Hirschburger, and produced by Michael Cretu and . Background Following the release of their third studio album ''Goldene Zeiten'' in 1984, Hubert Kah began writing and recording their first English studio album ''Tensongs''. As recording neared completion, the band felt the album lacked any potential singles, prompting them to write "Limousine". The song was written in approximately 20 minutes at Löhr's apartment in Frankfurt. Hirschburger recalled to James Arena in 2017: ""Limousine" was done very spontaneously. Hubert and I had an idea about a limousine. It worked, and we incorporated a classical approach in the melody." Hubert Kah is a German synthpop band, led by Hubert Kemmler (born 21 March 1961). Kemmler is a German musician, composer, songwriter and producer. Biography Kemmler's career began as a member of a trio named Hubert Kah, consisting of Hubert Kemmler (vocals, keyboards), Markus Löhr (guitars, keyboards) and Klaus Hirschburger (bass). It emerged in 1982 at the time of the New German wave and achieved commercial success with the singles "Rosemarie," "Sternenhimmel" and "Einmal Nur Mit Erika... (Dieser Welt Entfliehn)," and with the albums ''Meine Höhepunkte'' and ''Ich Komme''. During this time, Kemmler caused quite a stir by his TV appearances, wearing a nightdress or straitjacket. Judy Cheeks (born February 13, 1954) is an American singer. In the 1970s and 1980s, she recorded as a soul and R&B singer, before releasing more dance-oriented music in the 1990s. Cheeks performed with Ike & Tina Turner as an Ikette. She also worked as a backing vocalist for various artists such as Stevie Wonder, Donna Summer, Amanda Lear, and David Knopfler. Curtis Cress (born 11 August 1952), known by his stage name Curt Cress, is a German musician, singer and songwriter. Life and work Curt Cress began his career in 1965 in Hanau with the band Load.
