Limon And Oli
''Limon and Oli'' is a Turkish animated cartoon series for children aged 4–9, created by Salih Memecan. The series has aired on Disney Junior since 2015 in 110 Europe, the Middle East and Africa countries. The show is based on the daily comic strip, '' Sizinkiler'' ("Your kind of family"), which has been published in a Turkish national newspaper since 1991. Premise The television series revolves around the adventures of two anthropomorphic chicken chicks, Limon and Oli, in dealing with school, themselves, neighbors, or others. Salih Memecan
Salih Memecan (born 2 September 1952, Giresun, Turkey) is a Turkish editorial caricaturist and cartoonist. Memecan's political cartoon strip, Bizimcity, and comics cartoon strip, Sizinkiler, have been published daily in ''Sabah'' newspaper, one of the largest in Turkey, and weekly in the '' Aktüel'' magazine. ''The New York Times'', ''The Washington Post'', the ''San Francisco Chronicle'', ''The Baltimore Sun'' and ''The Philadelphia Inquirer'' have published Memecan's editorial cartoons. After receiving his BA and MA degrees in architecture from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, Memecan received his PhD in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania as a Fulbright scholar (1983). Disney Channel was a Turkish free-to-air television network owned and operated by Disney Televizyon Yayıncılık A.Ş.
