Limited Edition (Yolandita Monge Album)
''Limited Edition'' is a remix album by Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge and the first ever of its kind by any Latin performer, male or female. It was produced and remixed by internationally known DJ - Producer Pablo Flores along with partner, Grammy winning Engineer Javier Garza. The album includes the new Megamix and selected remixes from the previously released Maxi Singles of ''Por Tí'', ''Fuiste Un Sueño'' and ''No Me Acostumbro''. The cover is a new color painted photo from '' Vivencias'' by Raúl Torres. It was released in 1991 and is out of print in all media formats. A remix album is an album consisting of remixes or rerecorded versions of an artist's earlier released material. The first act who employed the format was American singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson (''Aerial Pandemonium Ballet'', 1971). As of 2007, the best-selling remix album of all time is Michael Jackson's '' Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix'' (1997). Mis Canciones Preferidas 2
''Mis Canciones Preferidas 2'' is the follow-up compilation album to '' Mis Canciones Preferidas'' from 1986 by Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge. It was released in 1991 during her pregnancy hiatus and includes hits from the albums ''Laberinto de Amor'', '' Nunca Te Diré Adiós / En Concierto'', '' Vivencias'', and ''Portfolio''. The album was her last release from her label CBS Records and included two new songs exclusively composed for Monge by singer/songwriter Braulio, "Ya No Hay Nada Que Callar" and "La Sombra De Lo Que Fuí", both of which were originally intended for Monge's follow-up album to Vivencias. The track "Ya No Hay Nada Que Callar" is the sequel to the massive hit "Este Amor Que Hay Que Callar" from the '' Vivencias'' album. The song "La Sombra De Lo Que Fuí" became the theme for the opening credits for the Puerto Rican telenovela ''Natalia''. Ivana Spagna
Ivana Spagna (born 16 December 1954), also known simply as Spagna (), is an Italian singer and songwriter. She is best known for her worldwide hit song " Call Me" released in 1987. Career Spagna started her career singing in English and in the early 1980s she provided vocals (with Angela Parisi) and wrote songs for an Italo disco duo called Fun Fun; as well as writing songs and singing for many other dance music projects like Baby's Gang until 1986, when she embarked on a solo career. Spagna's debut single "Easy Lady", released in 1986, was a success across Europe. Vivencias (Yolandita Monge Album)
''Vivencias'' is the sixteenth (16th) studio album by Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge. It was released in 1988 and includes the massive hits "Este Amor Que Hay que Callar", "Borinqueña”, “Débil", "Quítame A Ese Hombre Del Corazón", "Por Tí (Call Me)", "Acaríciame", and "Cuando Termina Un Amor". Nearly all the tracks in this album were huge radio hits that the singer still performs in her live shows. This album earned the first Platinum status for a female Puerto Rican singer. Since then, it has earned double Platinum and double Gold status. The album's cover picture was taken by late photographer and stylist Raúl Torres. The track "Este Amor Que Hay Que Callar", composed by Canarian singer-songwriter Braulio, caused considerable controversy in Puerto Rico due to its theme of adultery. Portfolio (Yolandita Monge Album)
''Portfolio'' is the seventeenth (17th) studio album by Puerto Rican singer Yolandita Monge. It was released in 1990 and it was the final studio album under her CBS Records contract. This release includes the hits "Cantaré", "Sin Amor", and the club hit "Fuiste Un Sueño". Seven out of ten tracks in this album were composed by Venezuelan singer/songwriter Ricardo Montaner. The breathtaking album's cover picture was taken by late photographer and stylist Raúl Torres and is a black and white picture, hand painted. The song "Fuiste Un Sueño" was remixed by DJs Pablo Flores and Javier Garza and also became a massive club hit in Puerto Rico and USA. The singer filmed a music video for that song (directed by her brother in law Eric Mamery) and it won many awards for its technical and artistic values. Yolanda Rosa Monge Betancourt (born September 16, 1955), known professionally as Yolandita Monge, is a Puerto Rican singer, actress, and television personality. She has been active in the music business since her teen years and has recorded 27 studio albums and two live albums, as well as several greatest hits compilations and special appearance recordings.
